Craig Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 There's talk of Mick McCarthy, but as with all these things, it's just talk at the minute.
leicester4life Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 http://www.thesun.co...-Al-Hasawi.html MEGA-RICH Kuwaiti businessman Fawaz Al-Hasawi is closing on a takeover of a Championship club — believed to be Nottingham Forest. [...] Al-Hasawi’s family made their fortune in the refrigeration business, although his exact wealth is unclear. ****ing expensive freezers then. And I like how it's gone from "eclipsing the wealth of sheik mansour" to "multimillions".
Corky Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Just make sure you keep Cotternil. Oi, don't talk about our former coach like that.
Guest MattP Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Another foriegn owner picks up an English club abd no one knows the actual worth. Good luck guys.
RedHux Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Yea, it's a leap into the darkness for us but it does seem to be positive news in that they seem fairly well off and seem to be fans of the beautiful game. Also, as things stand our back four looks like being three right backs so we could do with a couple of quid flying about the place.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Does this mean we get to sing "You're not English anymore" when we visit? EDIT: Just to be clear, I was being flippant, not racist.
RedHux Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Does this mean we get to sing "You're not English anymore" when we visit? EDIT: Just to be clear, I was being flippant, not racist. I for one hope you do. Just the once, just to make the point. Lets face it, if it was about foreign ownership it'd be the most popular chant in the land. As for Sven, he'd do for me. As would just about anyone or anything that isn't the present incumbent.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 You used to be English you're not anymore!
Guest ttfn Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 ****ing expensive freezers then. And I like how it's gone from "eclipsing the wealth of sheik mansour" to "multimillions". Won't be long until they're signing Liam Fridgewell.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 It has to be sung, we got taunted for it: YOU'RE NOT ENGLISH ANYMOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
purpleronnie Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 It has to be sung, we got taunted for it: YOU'RE NOT ENGLISH ANYMOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE so that makes it ok?
ADK Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 I don't think there was anything wrong with it in the first place.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 And now some of there fans think they're going to walk the league even though last season just survived relegation...
purpleronnie Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 And now some of there fans think they're going to walk the league even though last season just survived relegation... sounds a bit familiar.
FrankieADZ Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 its quite ironic after they sang that at us isnt it.
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 so that makes it ok? It's going to be sung as a complete pisstake, has to be.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 A gaffa at work (I work in Notts) has just made his way to my work area and just said "Harry Redknapp for manager". I looked at him expecting him to crack a smile as he was obviously joking, but no. He was deadly serious. Obviously suffering from delusions of grandeur....money does that.

Fox92 Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Good luck to them. If some of the fans think they'll walk the league then fair play, but I doubt it. Quality comes over money, and teams such as Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves have more quality and depth than us all. Just look at last season for example, we didn't do anything after spending a fair amount.

Milton Keynes Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 so that makes it ok? We are definitely not taking the moral high ground
