jonthefox Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 At least they'll be able to give that dump a lick of paint.
RedHux Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Who knows what's going on. It's all a bit mental, but the thing that gets my hopes up is the only decent, mostly correct and ultra rare itk poster has suggested it might be a goer. I think that alone has sent ltlf into meltdown. Not sure I can cope with all the excitement.

RedHux Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 **** Matt Mills! He turned us down for Reading many moons ago. I strongly suspect a load of twitter names will soon be turned back from 'Some Kuwaityname' (yea, I know!) back to Rams87 and the like and much guffawing will take place.
HEGGSY Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 Trying to buy the league hey.... PFFFFFT! Would you like Matt Mills? He's your for just 10m Kuwaiti Dinar* About £23m Hey, if he's that rich...
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 May 2012 Posted 30 May 2012 You used to be English you're nearly not anymore. Maybe
Finnegan Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 I can't wait to see all your hypocrites who moaned about the amount of money we were spending. I also can't wait to see their disappointed rants when this "AMAZING BILLIONAIRE" turns out to have about as much financial clout as Milan Mandaric.
Tielemans63 Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 To be honest, if I were a neutral billionaire looking to buy a club, I'd def look at Leeds or Forest. Both great cities, both clubs have an illustrious history and both have the potential to be massive. I've lived in Leeds and its one of those places where just about everyone supports their local side. When I was there 8 years ago the buzz when they were doing well was unbelievable - their problem then was that they were filling Elland Road (38k fans) every week and needed to extend the capacity. If someone could recreate that buzz then Leeds would be a good investment.

Can see this happening, it would just our luck to end up riddled with debt from the ineptitude of a 25 year old Thai whilst this lot up the road end up with the next Shiekh Mansoor.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 May 2012 Posted 31 May 2012 Surely Leeds would be the better investment? Far bigger fanbase, arguably a better history as they have more titles and a much more recent history of being a top side and the only club in a bigger city. I'd actually argue Leeds could be one of the biggest clubs in the country with the right investment, not so sure you could say that about Forest. I get the feeling that the view of Forest as a 'potentially massive' club comes from their massive overachievement between 1977 and 1980; but in terms of fanbase and potential I'm not sure they're any bigger than ourselves from an outsider's perspective.

I suppose it depends on what papa smurf wants for it.

Robin Hood is bigger than Leeds.
