I think both of this seasons champions league semi finals have made people question Spain's chances. Still an unbeleivable side though and will be there or thereabouts at the end. I went for Germany aswell While that's true I didn't think there chances would only lead them to being backed by 1 in 16. They did win the last two major tournaments, and Xavi is so sick.

That group is evil and they are in the poorest form. If the Danes can nick a couple of results Germany could be in trouble too. They'll most likely still progress though. Teams to progress from the groups Group A . Russia and Greece Group B. Netherlands and Germany Group C. Spain and Croatia Group D. France and England

Kitchandro Posted 6 June 2012 Posted 6 June 2012 I also voted Germany, they've looked strong for some time, but I think people have not voted Spain so not to be boring I don't think a team has ever won 3 tournaments in a row before. But you'd still expect them to make it to the semis minimum. England will play some very dire football and will scrape through the group if they're lucky.

Denmark are a tough team, and might spring a surprise but can't see past it finishing Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and then Portugal. Just my opinion too though.

I'm one of only 2 people to have voted for France to win the whole thing though so take what i say with a pinch of salt. My feeling is that although Holland have a plethora of top class keepers & RVP, their defence isn't of a great standard in my eyes & their 1st XI midfield has generally been poor this season at club level individually. I've gone for England to get to the semis aswell so you should probably just ignore me!!!

Guess individually they aren't great, but as a unit they excel.
