I started one as stevenage and can't get results what tactics do you use?

Absolutely shocking. I finished 2nd in the league to Mlada Boleslav despite levelling my record points haul for a season. Dropped just 14 points all season, finished 1 point behind and won my final 9 league games. Also lost the FA Cup final to the same team.

Had a tough CL group with Dortmund, Atl Madrid and Spurs. Was two minutes from being eliminated in game 5 when my 16yr old striker came on and got an equaliser away at Spurs. Scenario then was if Dortmund beat Spurs and I win, I finish 2nd. Dortmund-Spurs draw and I win, I'll get Europa League football after the winter. Dortmund won 4-1 and I beat Atl Madrid 2-1. Went through with a whopping 7pts.

Came up against Real Madrid again and got absolutely battered by the guy who was a youngster for me and is now a 41m player. He scored 7 against me over the two legs.

Reacted this season, currently unbeaten in all competitions (36 matches) (since FA Cup final 15th May infact). I lost 5 games in 2021, two of those vs Real Madrid.

Had to qualify for CL this season, beat Hajduk and Lille on my way to being 3rd seed in a group with Man City, PSV and LINFIELD . Won both vs Linfield & away at PSV, drew at home and drew both games 3-3 against Man City despite going a goal up every time ). Beat Atl Madrid 3-1 at home in the 1st leg of the 1st knockout round, away leg coming up.

I lost last a game 15th May 2021. Today is 9th March 2022

You've convinced me to have a go with Hinckley. I have no idea why. Considering I failed with Lincoln I'm not sure this is a good idea...

After the beta - and before full release, did they make many changes? Or I suppose what is a better question is have there been any meaningful patches?

I still found there was a likely corner exploit (centre back scored 14 goals despite being injured for around 2 months) and I got Hinckley promoted losing only one league game all season.

I'm not generally that good at the game. Has it been tweaked and noticeably improved now its on full release?

I have the full release by the way and have dabbled with it, but lost interest within a week due to the ease with which I'd won Hinckley's division.

My friend is having a good game as Rangers where you can only sign young players (transfer embargo) and the board continues to sell your best players for beneath true value. Might try that.

Well, I don't actually know, but the defender only had heading of around 11 or 12... ok for that level, but nothing exceptional.

I did set up the corners instructions on that game, but it was nothing revolutionary.

I did have a good set piece taker, but even so, it reminded me of a similar glitch/exploit a few years ago.

If I still have the save, which I think I do, I'll check if I remember and let you know - but like I say, it will be something fairly standard.

OK I have now given up on Hinckley.

Played 11, W 2, D 5 and L 8.

I have conceded the most awful goals. A shot from there center half in his own half which bounced over my keepers head. An Andy King style own goal TWICE and about 5 times there RB or LB have crossed the ball in which had lobbed my keeper scoring a "total fluke".

The worse thing is that why can't my team get that luck? I never score. I always lose 1-0 or when I do score I lose 2-1. My team is just awful and I have played the formation you have said is good. No good. Plus no one wants to join. Impossible

Aah, fond memories! At one time I had Beckham taking the corners (19 or 20 rating) and my big Swedish centre half, Von Schlebrugge (heading 18-19) scored about 15-20 for the season.

Last season the near post routine worked pretty well too. I had Samaras score 35 in one season for Bristol City, about 20 of which were from near post corners.

Not found anything similar this year, mind you I've not got a decent corner taker yet...

Went 3-0 down in away let at Atl Madrid, pulled a goal back on the hour and Kadlec popped up in the 92min to make it 3-2 and 5-4 on agg. I drew a close game vs Man Utd at home 0-0, missed a penalty and had a goal disallowed, then lost 11-2 at Old Trafford..................... Lost the FA Cup final in a bullshit penalty shoot out but took back the 1st division title dropping 14 pts again throughout the season.. and still only finished top by 1pt.

Man City (AGAIN..), Porto and Copenhagen is my CL group. Probably one of the toughest I could have had in the way of getting 2nd, have bad memories of playing Porto although that was about 8 seasons ago now

Only signed a reserve keeper (non-contract), apart from that it's the original squad. Not sure how many I'll lose at the end of the season though, can't offer them contracts as we just don't have the money. Brought in a new scout (Claus Lundekvam) and a new coach too, so things are going okay.

Play a standard 4-4-2, switching to a 4-3-3 when the opposition tend to be favourites. Rory Coleman started the season brilliantly, scored a freekick in 3 consecutive games, bagging a hat-trick in one of those games. Not bad for a left winger. He then tore his hamstring. Missing him badly considering the replacement is crap.

Enjoying this save, there's no pressure and I'm going to turn Hinckley into European Champions :xmasbiggrin:

I signed him,

West Brom have just bid 12 mil for Knockaert, As well as 3 million for one of my youngsters (Hinkley)

I accepted the bid as i have plenty of Central Midfielders

Edit: Leicester are trying to buy Forests team from 2 years ago, They've signed Gunter and now they're after Paul Anderson

i went 3-0 down after 8 minutes,I pulled a goal back, they scored a 4th, it went to 4-3.... they went on to score 3 more (7-3) after 70 minutes

i scored 3 more before i got a penalty in the 89th minute, missed it and we lost

Finished my first Hinckley season in 12th place, just not consistent enough to get into the play-offs. What happens then? Contracts from other clubs are offered to my two best CBs and my keeper. I can't get anywhere near their demands, so off they go

The rebuilding of the club continues, the finances are improving, but I've got a lot of work to do to get this team out of the division.

Isn't it brilliant when you get a save that you just love though. Haven't purchased this years myself and probably won't as it sounds a little too in depth.

Had one of my best in last years edition.

Took Swindon to the championship finishing first, Milan Ivana and Charlie Austin bossing the league.

Then in the championship I signed some good solid players in bamba, Swanson, orlandi, bartholome and oussafane.

Lead the whole of the season with wolves constantly chasing me, they got relegated but had won the FA cup so had so many games in hand due to European commitments so I was constantly being chased. They had a ridiculous team, overrated even, and their goal difference was crazy.

I got to January and it Genuinly felt like a Norwich or a reading side of past ( real life) , just one or two classy players but a real winning mentality throughout. Brought in jay Rodriguez, who wasn't being played, for 300k and scored 3 on his debit. Aswell as Nathan Tyson for 20k who was immense, played left mid, left back and up front and seemed to boss any team. Got me 11 in 20 to add to Ivana's 22 and austins 30.

Top it off I signed gonzalez I think his name was. A Spanish CAM from a good Spanish 2nd div team. Him, Swanson, bamba, caddis, Baldur sigurdson, ivana , Austin all class.

Best result was away at forest who were 3rd. Won me the title pretty much as wolves lost.

1-0 down after 8 minutes. Batter them all game, bring on Tyson and play ivana in behind. Bang 89 and 91 minutes . 1-2

I tend not to go for the big teams on these.

Apart from the Stevenage game posted above, which sounds brilliant, anybody had any others or are people really struggling that much on this years?

My season was nowhere near perfect, finished 12th. Coleman started well, tore his hamstring and never returned to form. Bryan, Palmer and Peet were my three best players, try and hold onto them. Darkin went through a great spell but hasn't scored in the last 20 hours or so of football. The team needs a LOT of work, especially RB, RM and upfront. Take a look at Jamal Dobson, got decent stats and is only 18.

Paul Staunton I think he may be generated though. On 5 pound a week and his contract expires 2016. Plus the others either don't want to sign on a proper contract or I can't afford what they want. I looked at Dobson and I cant afford him. Would be nice to be taken over and get some wages.
