NewburyFox Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 I'm about to be taken over again, The news story states my job might be under threat! WTF! 3 promotion in 3 years and i'm 2nd in league 1! My owner has been in takeover talks for well over a month. Desperate for it to go through. Currently 3rd in the table, 3 points behind 1st, with 12 games to go.

First job i've been offered in my 3 years at Hinckley, Not sure if i should take it If you do take it, make sure you keep a save where you've stayed at Hinckley. That way, if for whatever reason you want to come back to Hinckley, you can do. On FM12, I took Lincoln to League 1 and then was offered the Leicester job. I took the job and did well with them, but a few months later wanted to see how far I could take Lincoln, and wasn't able to because I hadn't kept a save. Hope that helps.

Although I can now offer players £170 (up from £110), I've lost 4 good squad players so far for nothing, including a guy who bagged me over 20 goals last season. Really frustrating stuff, especially as I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose last season's top scorer who has the potential to play in League 2. Just can't offer good enough contracts to keep them, and as this will be my 3rd season in the BSN, it's beginning to piss me off. And there goes Dobson to Chester, last season's top scorer. Questioning whether there's any point in carrying on.

However Ive been taken over for the 2nd time in a year but this time by a Korean tycoon. He's invested 110million, given me 52 million to spend with a 750k wage budget. He's upgraded the youth and training facilities to the best they can be and is going to build a new stadium as well as doubling ticket prices. I'm only little Crewe. Anybody else had one of these tycoon takeovers?

Championship, FA Cup, League Cup, EURO Cup, Community Shield and the European Super Cup. Quality. Premiership and Champions League next up! FMC is my sex. Won the EURO Cup again but other than that haven't improved at all in fact I finished 12th this year. Must improve next season. I can't even really see where I need to improve my starting 11 either. Might bring in some new scouts and an assistant manager to spice things up and then aim to sign someone ridiculous. See how I get on.

However, I am now getting tempted, so basically, is it a big improvement on the last offering or shall I not bother? :xmassad:

FM Classic is immense. Instant Result is a god send. Love it. Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 December 2012 Posted 30 December 2012 It's been a slog but I've maintained Prem status with Eastleigh in 2018 in 14th place. Won the league cup too thanks to the easiest run-in in history. The Silverlake Stadium will be rocking when Dynamo Minsk visit.
