Dan Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 What formation's best for leicester I've tried a 4-2-3-1 with 2 cbs a 2 fallbacks a BWM(D) a BBM a AM(s) two wingers(A) and a poacher. I can't string results together what am I doing wrong? That's near enough my exact formation quite regularly, but a trequartista has grown on me in CAM.

I can't string results together what am I doing wrong? A flat 4-4-1-1 works great to be honest. Got me those mad results first season against Arsenal, QPR, Stoke and Liverpool. I played an asymmetric 4-2-4 in games at home.

Unfortunately, I'd been too hasty in my dealings, so my budget was juuuust too little to bring him in. They only wanted 4,6mil too and he asked for a reasonable 13k a week. Still looks the business though!

I'm not trying to make excuses but I think one thing that's held me back is having a slow laptop. Makes me very lazy at the game and not want to spend ages doing everything. Will be a breath of fresh air playing a new one.

General Smuts Posted 12 December 2012 Posted 12 December 2012 Really getting into this now. Ploughing through season 3 with Stevenage in 2nd place in the Championship around Christmas. Also into the closing stages of the League Cup (not sure how far possibly Semis) which I'm loving. I keep having to upgrade the stadium every season though and haven't spent more than 3 months at the Lamex since the first season. For anyone taking on the lower leagues I'd highly recommend Michael Keane, Javier Correa, Lukas Rupp, Ramiro Funes Mori, Nicolas Tagliafico, Cristian Battochio, Abdi Ibrahim and Conor Henderson.

Brainy Posted 12 December 2012 Posted 12 December 2012 5 seasons in, won the league title again and the FA Cup.. again. Beating only once domestically last season in about 40 games. Champions League was an absolute disaster, 1 pt from the 6 games in what I thought was a relatively easy group. The academy is amazing and i'm slowly putting more youngsters into the first team year after year. At one point last year I had nine 30+ year olds, eleven under 24's and just 4 inbetween . Jiri Jarosik ended up retiring because a team mate (who at the time had the flu ) broke his pelvis 150 league games - 108 wins - 31 draws - 11 losses - 338 goals - 114 conceded. I've conceded 15 in each of the last two seasons I'm all numbers Done with season six, won the league again and but lost the FA Cup final which quite honestly I was gutted about. (sounds queer i know). 3rd in CL group which I guess is progress, but knocked out of first EL knockout stage against Man Utd. Lost my first domestic away game for over two years. Team is starting to take shape with regens, lost 4 30+ yo's in the summer so the squad is much thinner. Im currently 200k under my wage budget and 27m to spend Bare in mind that Vaclav Mares was actually signed for 6m when he was 18.

I've got two in my Leicester side that are absolutely ridiculous, a 15 year old striker who's made a scoring debut for me in the league (Prem's official youngest goal scorer of all time) and a center back that's keeping out Ashley Williams at 17 years old.
