Libertine Dream Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Right, who to be? Any League One/Two side with the exception of Cov. I'm currently Crewe. Good youngsters and youth academy and a bit of a challenge, loving it
DorsetFox9 Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 i took over Oviedo in the Spanish 3rd division, its easier to win the bloody X Factor, the amount of play off matches you play even when you win the league is ridiculous. now in Liga Adelente, they have a nice 30k seater stadium for some reason, compared to all the others with 2-10k
BstarFox Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 What's the most enjoyable save you guys have done I'm looking to make a new save and just can't decide what nation/league to do
munf1987 Posted 5 December 2012 Posted 5 December 2012 mine was on FM12 had to win the league in as many countries as possible. Started with Shaktar, moved to Zenit, then Juventus who had a very old squad, jumped ships to Inter after 6 months to win the league and moved to Barcelona and couldnt bring myself to leave as i had loads of money and a brilliant squad won la liga 5 seasons on the trot. That was the first time i had got past the 3rd season without getting bored and going on holiday. On FM13 im struggling to get a game going, got a leicester save, got promoted in the first season but cant get into it to carry on in the prem. Not even started the season yet
shen Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 What's the most enjoyable save you guys have done I'm looking to make a new save and just can't decide what nation/league to do Most of my Leicester saves have been enjoyable, but bar those my Vauxhall Motors game in FM 2011 (I think) was my most enjoyable one. Toulouse in France in FM 2009 and Sporting Gijon/Hoffenheim in FM 2010. Update on my current Leicester game: After that stunning 1-4 win in the Carling Cup against Arsenal, I had some fortunate draws (Blackpool away, Reading home, QPR away/home) all utterly mad games (4-6, 4-2, 1-5 wins respectively and a 4-4 home draw in the return leg). Liverpool in the final with a depleted squad (sold, released or loaned out most deadwood/expensive players and injuries piling up) with Moore forced to play central defense. They ridiculously fielded a weakened side (a cup is at stake!!) but still got ahead through a freak goal where Gerrard smashes it against the bar only for the ball to rebound off Schmeichel's back and in. They sub in their first teamers Borini, Agger and Allen after an hour only to see Nuge equalise. Heading for extra-time, only that last action clip left which happens to be a corner to me. Crusat crosses, Moore of all people picks it up near post and hammers it in off the crossbar with all three minutes of added time gone. HERO!! Absolutely ridiculous cup run...
Brainy Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Petr Cech/Tomas Vaclek Frantisek Rajtoral/Daniel Mojsov Milan Vilotic Sasa Bilic Manuel Pamic Mario Holek Tomas Hubschmann/Eyong Enoh Franitsek Rajtoral/Kamil Vacek Josef Husbauer/Erik Jendrisek/Lasse Schone Ladislav Krejci Kadlec straight into the CL group stages instead of any qualifying nonsense this season yay 5 seasons in, won the league title again and the FA Cup.. again. Beating only once domestically last season in about 40 games. Champions League was an absolute disaster, 1 pt from the 6 games in what I thought was a relatively easy group. The academy is amazing and i'm slowly putting more youngsters into the first team year after year. At one point last year I had nine 30+ year olds, eleven under 24's and just 4 inbetween . Jiri Jarosik ended up retiring because a team mate (who at the time had the flu ) broke his pelvis 150 league games - 108 wins - 31 draws - 11 losses - 338 goals - 114 conceded. I've conceded 15 in each of the last two seasons I'm all numbers
FoxLAD Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 What's the most enjoyable save you guys have done I'm looking to make a new save and just can't decide what nation/league to do Stevenage of FM12. not expected to win anything but thet have a brilliant squad i. e (Luke Freeman, Bostwick) got them from league 1 to and established premiership club,
definitely not finners Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Had a great Betis save on 2007 that I did an unbeaten season on (all competitions.) That was one of my most enjoyable saves. I also had a Betis save last year that was good fun. I would say St. Pauli in 09 was my number one, though, back to back Champions League wins in a 20k stadium! Had some insane regens on that load, the best I've ever seen. I think ultimately you can have fun as any team, really, once you become absorbed. I'm doing my customary Leicester save now having messed about with Palermo and Napoli and really enjoying this version. Only bug I've.encountered is headed goals from corners occasionally registering as going wide even though the match engine appears to show otherwise.
LCFC FOX Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Won the premier league 2nd season with Liverpool
shen Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Bugger. Wolves pipped me to the title by a single point after an unbelievable 9 straight wins. Even Nuge was pipped to the topscorer award by a goal as Keogh just went on a ridiculous scoring spree and played every single game from the start. Nuge had 14 starts less and deserved the title, but alas. Oh and I won't be the only Championship side in Europe next season as Watford were FA Cup finalists. Amazing stuff... Edit: Another side story is that Blackburn were languishing in the bottom four all season and were 19th with 11 games left to play. They went on to win 9 and draw 2, snuck into the playoffs and beat Bolton in the PO Final. Imagine that IRL
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 I always concede without fail every single game between 1.30 and 2.00mins. Pi55 take.
DB11 Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Been playing the demo for a couple of hours (FMC to see if getting through it quick made it more "pick up and play") but I have to say I'm not really that much of a fan Shame really because I used to really enjoy playing it
Ozwin Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Right, I'm going to give this another go seeing as it's been updated. It better be sorted now, was a joke on release.
Brainy Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 FM classic is rubbish because theres no (or little) player interaction IMO
munf1987 Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Just started a new game as Cluj. My mate is doing the same thing. Not allowed to leave Cluj until we reach the knockout stages of the Champs league. Other leagues loaded are - England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ukraine and obv Romainia. Just adds that challenge into the game for me
Finnegan Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Right, I'm going to give this another go seeing as it's been updated. It better be sorted now, was a joke on release. I still don't quite understand what you mean. You playing classic?
GLC Posted 7 December 2012 Author Posted 7 December 2012 Started again with Shakhtar, I'm gonna try and win as many titles in as many leagues as possible
shen Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Started again with Shakhtar, I'm gonna try and win as many titles in as many leagues as possible That Onazi fella has unbelievable technical stats, but do his physical stats improve? He seems pretty useless in large leagues when he can be blown off the ball by anyone. And also, that's some weird shopping/player selection, if you don't mind me saying. Why the hell would you buy and play Taarabt when Shakhtar are awash with offensive midfielders? Jadson, Willian, Douglas Costa, Alex Teixeira off the top of my head. And not playing either Willian or Stepanenko?

And not playing either Willian or Stepanenko? Douglas Costa is out for 6 months with a broken leg, I signed Jadson as a DM. I signed Taarabt because i'd accepted a 20mil bid for Willian from Chelsea, only for the deal to fall through after i'd signed Taarabt
GLC Posted 7 December 2012 Author Posted 7 December 2012 He has bought Jadson He moved from Sao Paulo Botafogo to Shaktar
shen Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 He has bought Jadson He moved to Sao Paulo from Shaktar Ah right, does he start at Sao Paulo these days? (I now know he signed a different Jadson) Douglas Costa is out for 6 months with a broken leg, I signed Jadson as a DM. I signed Taarabt because i'd accepted a 20mil bid for Willian from Chelsea, only for the deal to fall through after i'd signed Taarabt That's a bitter blow. Still, you chose to play Taarabt instead of Willian and Teixeira, who are surely both superior
Simo86 Posted 7 December 2012 Posted 7 December 2012 Ah right, does he start at Sao Paulo these days? (I now know he signed a different Jadson) Seems that way looking at Sao Paulo's Wiki page. Cracking little player. Yeah I realised it wasn't the same Jadson as well
