The differences seem a lot thesedays, not surprisingly the old songs tended to have violent connotations, here's some people posted on another site:-

Your going home in a ****ing ambulance"

Iwan is a welsh man he wears a welshman cap,

he lives next door to Joachim and the live in a council flat

he scores them with his left foot he scores them with his right,

And when we play the DERBY he scores all F***ING night..

In Leicester's fair city, where the girls are so pretty,

I once met a girl called sweet Molly Malone,

As she wheeled her wheelbarrow, through the streets broad and narrow,

Singing de de der der der der der der Leicester de de der der der der der der Leicester

You'll never take the spion kop (To the tune of "remember your'e a womble)

There's a circus in the town, in the town

Robert Maxwell's gone and drown, gone and drown,

Arthur Cox has got the f*****g pox,

Derby County goin down, goin down.

Sheeeep, sheeeeep, sheeeep shaggggggers

BBBBBbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH.....

(To the tune of wandering star)

I was born down filbert street

I was born down filbert street

Chelsea carry razors

Leeds carry lead

But Leicester carry hatchets to bury

in your head

I was born down filbert street

down filbert filbert street

Fave Chant/Song???

So difficult, it's like asking your fave single of all time, depends on your mood, when you're asked etc.

I suppose it has to be... When You're Smiling.

Especially when done slowly (which is a long time ago) with the hand waving in the right place. For me it is the most original song we have.

But for a quickie, always liked this:

Tip toe

Through the Trent End

With a Razor

and a sawn off shot gun

Tip toe

Throught the Trent End

With me

2, 3, 4

"we hate forest, we hate derby, who the **** are coventry?" always makes me giggle!

"small town in wherever" always makes me smile too

"my garden shed is bigger than this" is just brilliant

And finally, my favourite has to be "you are my Leicester BLUES BLUES my only Leicester BLUES BLUES you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never notice (know just) how much I love you so please don't take my Leicester away, laaaa laaaa laaaa la la BLUES BLUES" - love this tune

You can kick a forest fan when he's on the ground(repeat 3 times)

Copper says "do no worse!"

Second verse same as the first

A little but louder and a little bit worst!!!!

You can kick a forest fan when he's on the ground (repeat again)

Be surprised if anyone remembers this, pen 2 Brian little era.

Once upon a time there was a Spion Kop,

Where we used to throw a can or two.

Where we used to while away the hours,

Watching the boys in royal blue!

Those were the days my friend!

We took the Stretford End,

We took the Shed,

And North Bank Highbury!

We lived the life we choose

We'd fight and never lose

For we were young,

And sure to have our way!

Class old school tune.
