Parafox Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Most on here probably won't remember Eric Sykes, comedian, comedy writer and actor. He most regularly appeared on TV with a female comedy actor called Hattie Jacques who played his sister in a sitcom, the name of which escapes me, I'm sure Zingari will know He passed away today. RIP
Rocket-Ron Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Used to love watching Eric with my Dad back in the day. Sad loss .... R.I.P..

Corky Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Had a brilliant little cameo appearance in "dinnerladies". RIP, Eric.
Rincewind Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 The program was called Sykes. Derek Guyler played a policeman. One episode Peter Sellers was in playing an escaped convict. Remember that because I think they showed it last year sometime. Hattie Jaques was married to John Le messuer. She had an affair and he was too nice a bloke to object.
Daggers Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Stone deaf while doing Sykes and yet still had beautiful comic timing. His whole cohort were quality and we're left with the podgy tax avoider and the simpering nice news idiot.
The Doctor Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 I forgot about his part in the Goons... asre there any Goons left alive now? Last of the original four to go was Milligan in 2002. All dead as a doorknob now.

Tielemans63 Posted 5 July 2012 Posted 5 July 2012 'The Plank' with Tommy Cooper, funny in it's day I was going to post this. I remember watching this with my Grandad when I was about 8 years old. Stupid humour but funny nonetheless.
Smudge Posted 5 July 2012 Posted 5 July 2012 I was going to post this. I remember watching this with my Grandad when I was about 8 years old. Stupid humour but funny nonetheless. Ronnie Barker did a similar one called A Home of Your Own
