FoxyPV Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 I hate the way players crowd a ref after he's made a decision.
EnderbyFox Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 What does Khedira actually do? Do not rate him at all
FoxyPV Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Exciting last 10 here. Lopez has been keeping Real in it. Real have just stopped playing since they scored their second.
21st Century Fox Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 I love the way Clive Tyldesley was being really condescending about how Diego Lopez wasn't Casillas and now he's having to eat his words
MooseBreath Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Mourinho continuing to butter up Utd fans for his inevitable arrival
purpleronnie Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Mourinho continuing to butter up Utd fans for his inevitable arrival Thats what I thought too..
Samu Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Roy Keane is an absolute idiot. Did he seriously think that was a red? I cannot stand that man
sdb Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Common sense says yellow for me. Eyes on the ball. Rafael did handle on the line though, albeit once Nani was off. Entertaining anyway. Their 'fans' on facebook are hilarious.
purpleronnie Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Roy Keane is an absolute idiot. Did he seriously think that was a red? I cannot stand that man No problem with the red card, completely justified.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 No problem with the red card, completely justified. It was a foul. There is a case for it being a yellow card. It did not meet the criteria for a red card. Madness.
Samu Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 No problem with the red card, completely justified. I can't see it myself I'm afraid. I totally understand his foot was raised but there was no way that was intentional. Common sense should prevail in situations like this
purpleronnie Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 It was a foul. There is a case for it being a yellow card. It did not meet the criteria for a red card. Madness. nah
Samu Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 nah To be honest, I think it's partly because Roy Keane says it was a red that I don't think it was. I despise that man. Terrible manager and horrible man
Jimothy Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 The red card was similar to those given to Carlton Cole and Darron Gibson in a West Ham v Everton game earlier in the season. Both were rescinded.
Eddie Big Balls Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 I thought it was a poor card in all honesty, but we made mistakes after it anyway. We went too much into our shell and the manager was far too slow to change a system that was really not working. If he made the Rooney sub 10 mins earlier it would have been much more useful, although I'm still not sure that we would have held on. It sort of sucks that the ref in the first leg bottled a clear red card for Varane and yet the ref tonight called an at best borderline red in such a huge game, it's hard not to feel a little cheated but them's the breaks. It's important to make sure the team don't lose focus on the league after this.
Ozwin Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 In real time I defy any of you to get that decision right. Looked like he Jackie Chan'd the poor bugger. And who cares? It's justice for all the insufferable plastics I've had to endure for years and years!
Guest ttfn Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 nah Based on what is in the laws of the game, what makes you think that was a sending off?
Eddie Big Balls Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Based on what is in the laws of the game, what makes you think that was a sending off? Dangerous play. Whether it was dangerous enough for a red and whether it was intentional are the point, but it's not hard to work out it will have been given for dangerous play...
ScouseFox Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Sticking to the complete exact letter of the law you could justify a red card. Anyone who watched it, understands anything about football, has any common sense or any brain cells at all would realise it wasn't. Which is probably why purpleronnie thinks it was.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Dangerous play. Whether it was dangerous enough for a red and whether it was intentional are the point, but it's not hard to work out it will have been given for dangerous play... Dangerous play is only a red card if excessive force is used.
