ADK Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Ribery annoys me, always diving. Thought Bayern deserved it. Standard of goalkeeping on both sides was superb.
VinceNoir Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 This was one of the best moments of the match. Had me on the edge of my seat! Robben bottled it though.
Super_horns Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 It was a very open game with chances at both ends and I quite enjoyed it (more so that a Barca v Madrid* final I suspect) Goalkeepers very good and I think Dortmund could count themselves a bit unlucky. *I know there was still a bit of diving going but who game doesn't have that in!? Sounded like a great atmosphere too!
StanSP Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Had me on the edge of my seat! Robben bottled it though. Same. Thought he should have committed himself more but well played by Subotic!
Danizen Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 It was a good final. It's been a while since we had a proper classic final. A few people are saying they enjoyed it more than they would have enjoyed an El Clasico final. I'm not so sure. The game back in September/October was one of the best of the season.
Super_horns Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I guess it would have depending on what sort of mood Barca and Madrid players would be in - they can produce great games but also it has got ugly in the past sadly. Much like most big high pressured games between top sides/rivals I guess.
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 They just look a total level up/higher from any of our 'best' teams. Plus, there were a lot of German's in the two teams, some of which were supporters themselves. A few talented youngers on show as well, Germany will no doubt be a force at International level for years to come.
Wymsey Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Ribery seems overrated; I know he made an assist, but I thought he was rather too aggressive and fails to control the ball well.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I thought Robben was a lucky fvcker to still be on the pitch. First he elbowed someone in the face and after that I counted at least 2 fouls which would've been straight yellows in any other match (arguably 3). How has nobody else picked up on this?
Happy Fox Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 What odds on Monaco winning the champions league in 2 seasons time? They are going to sign Falcao.

Don't forget his defensive work though. I watched him track all the way back to his own penalty spot, win the ball, start a counter which nearly led to a Bayern goal. These little things go un-noticed.

It was Ribery who elbowed Lewandowski in the face. Totally knew what he was doing and you wonder what the referee saw cos he did give the free-kick. Dante should have seen red, too. Got booked before the tackle on Reus for the penalty, so I think that 2nd tackle should have been a 2nd booking. Ribery forgot what the occasion was and was happily to let his antics rather than the football do the talking.
Jimothy Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I thought Monaco is a COUNTRY? It is. A very small one, its only about 2KM square, so surprisingly Monaco doesn't have a football league competition and so therefore AS Monaco play in the French league.

I still stand by the assertion that Robben committed at least 2 bookable offences (not including the one he actually got booked for). Last night's match was by no means a masterpiece of refereeing.
