I saw something about him not being respected enough? I think he wants to be the top dog, like with Portugal

I'd say he was pretty much top dog at Madrid anyway.

Most of the talk seems to point at the poor treatment of some of the more peripheral Madrid players. Namely Fabio Coentrao, Ricardo Carvalho and Kaka.

I was under the impression its that he is upset about the lack of support he has got from fellow players and staff at Real lately. When Iniesta won the European player of the year, some of his teams mates were saying how much Iniesta deserved it, and I think even Karanka said something along those lines. This, coupled with the treatment of Coentrao, and the fact that despite being the number 1 or 2 player in the world, he earns less than 6 (i think) other players.....

Eto'o

Ibra

Rooney

Yaya

Aguero

Messi

Plus, its the international break, it gives the media something to talk about, and he will just be looking for a new contract. Ronaldo isnt going anywhere.

Falcao has bagged another two after about an hour away at Betis.

Takes him to league 7 goals in 4 and a half games. Top scorer in La Liga (ahead of Ronaldo and Messi). Add to that a hat trick vs Chelsea in the Super Cup. And 2 in 2 for Columbia in the international week.

Still nobody big seems to want to take a punt on him. Easily the best "number 9" in the world.

Hope this is true. Would love to see him over here.

Barca were 2-0 down at Sevilla, 2-1 down in the 89th minute and have just made it 2-3 in injury time. Great game.

Great game, but bad referee.

This Sunday El Clasico

A win for Barca will mean their best ever start to a campaign I think: 7 wins from 7. They've had a few close calls and have definitely not been at their best but still, well played Vilanova

Missed the pre match stuff but from what I can tell Barca are only playing 2 defenders and they're Alba and Alves, neither of whom can actually defend. Surely Real are going to kill them going forward? Does "the best team in the world ever" not actually have any substitute defenders? Or do they just choose not to play any of them?

They have Muniesa and Bartra but both are young and fairly inexperienced. I know they like involving the younger lads when they can but in a game of this magnitude and in key positions like CB I'd rather have Mascherano, Alba and Adriano. I dunno, Tito knows better than me :P

Best player in the world makes it 1-0 in the best game in the world.

Great finish from Ronaldo.

The real best player in the world makes it 1-1

I'd much rather have Ronaldo in my team than Messi. Ronaldo can win games on his own whereas Messi needs Iniesta and Xavi behind him.

Whilst I'd probably also choose Ronaldo (only just mind), that has to be one of the most cliche, overused football lines I've heard.

Just because Ronaldo can only play on his own it doesn't mean he's a better player.

Football is a team sport and a good footballer needs to be a team player, that's part of the reason Messi will always be a better talent than Ronaldo. It's also part of the reason why Ronaldo will never be better than the likes of Ronaldinho at their best.

It's borne out of truth, though. Their passing and movement makes it impossible for teams to double up on him. He wouldn't get on well at Madrid with the high balls Alonso makes.
