FoxesAreBlue Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Prettu simple really, was having this conversation at work and wondered what your biggest regrets were over your life, mine was listening to people who said that I wouldn't be able to do certain things that had I started a lot younger I would be ****ing flying now rather than fighting to play catch up. I was always dogshit at football but fairly good at athletics, particularly high jump as a kid, I used to get ripped for it so never took it further and always assumed I was crap at all sports, now I sit here, 24 years young, watching the sporting events of the last month and can't help but wonder what could have been. Anybody else got any regrets?
Webbo Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 I've had a few, but then again too few to mention.

MooseBreath Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Being too afraid to give Charlene want she wanted in the alleyway at the end of that long summer night. Set the tone for my whole life. Edit - and starting to use foxestalj on my phone. Life wasted, spelling disabled.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Getting married! I had 21 long happy years...... Then I met her....
MooseBreath Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Money? No, she wasn't asking for money. I'd already paid her by then.
MikeyT Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Having to leave University cos of financial reasons. Regret it everyday.
Captain... Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 This ... You Split up with steve_Walsh's first girlfriend? Was that before or after him? That is just amazing, I mean ....amazing. As for me well everything and nothing, I have made so many decisions in my life that could have been wrong, some more likely to be wrong than others, my ultimate/overall regret is I have not done more with my life, and yet I have done so much more than the majority of other people. I'm still youngish though and looking forward to making plenty more bad decisions. Hindsight is a bitch and it is best not to look backwards, if you are happy with where you are then you shouldn't regret anything that happened on the journey. If you're not, then what the fvck are you doing, do something about it.
Tielemans63 Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 I've no regrets.. They don't work No regrets no They only hurt..... You do now My biggest regret is getting with a girl in the first year of Uni and then sticking it out for the next two years even though i didn't really feel anything for her, simply cuz I didn't want to hurt her. Just didnt have the balls to say how I really felt. I suppose it's kind of a good thing though as it taught me to always be honest in any situation. Missed out on so much casual sex that I'll never get back though!

Guest Col city fan Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 On a serious note, my major regret, academically, was not getting into Cambridge (and the following year, Oxford). I had the grades but flunked both interviews. Don't think it helped though that my dad was a Driving Instructor and my mum worked in a green grocers..
Tielemans63 Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 I didn't know casual sex was confined to the Uni years mate? It was just a lot more difficult post-Uni! Especially for a bloke who looks like Peter Crouch on the Atkins diet. Uni girls seem to have lower standards than anyone else!
