I wonder what Babs feels about SSL getting man of the match? :)

What????????? Who the flying **** gave him that. He improved a lot, but Jesus he was an utter liability for the first 30 minutes. Utterly baffling decision. Never been so mad with a player... Until Waghorn came on and did his Beckford v Blackpool impression again.

My dad reckons Drinkwater was outstandng. Then again, he is 89 - my dad that is, not Drinky - and he got that from RL. Can anyone confirm?

Yes very impressive for me, got forward well, defended well, shame he can't shoot though.

VERY good haul? Not even a good haul to be honest. Im happy with the result tonight and i'm an optimist about Pearson...but really, lets not get carried away. It's the definition of an average start really, hence why we are 10th right now.

A very good haul considering the teams we've played, yes. We can't expect to just dominate in a run of fixtures like that. We very nearly did but for a bit of luck/ruthlessness. If we can play like this against the lesser teams we'll be there or thereabouts.

lol

Seriously did he because that's a sodding joke if so. Different player 30 minutes onwards but my god, before that I don't know what to say.

Win on Sunday and we will be talking about top two, I think we have played well enough to be three points better than we are, Pearson is the right man. Knows who to sign and doesn't stand for egos.

Are we all happy again?.

Win the next 40 we might not have someone calling for Pearsons head...

Peterborough

Charlton

Blackburn

Blackpool

Wolves

Burnley

Two relegated sides, Charlton with momentum, and Burnley who are a solid outfit.

I'd have taken 9 points from that lot. Very good haul from a difficult start.

I wouldn't

Next few fixtures

Hull (H)

Middlesboro (A)

Huddersfield (A)

Brizzle (H)

Birmingham (A)

Brighton (H)

Some winnable looking fixtures there, but we need to step up our away form as a matter of urgency.

Add Hull 12 points that would be solid...

Morgan, Drinkwater and Knockaert our best players

Knocks by a country mile, then Morgs although he did one mental back header by mistake which nearly cost us. Konchesky was steady. RDL good going forward, peltier like on defence. Nugent and Vardy lucky to score.

Midfield was meh for me. Waghorn double meh, Dyer was Dyer. Marsh disappointing again. SSL dreadful and then steady.

Knocks ran down the 4 mins injury time on his own, star.

Considering there's a case for us to be on 15 points, I'd hardly say "very good".

Knocks thought he was playing for Spain absolute brilliant..,

It's a frustrating haul considering what could have been.

Oh, and Pearson was absolutely right to stick with Nugent and Vardy.

All those who wanted Beckford/ Futacs/ Waghorn/ Howard playing tonight- what do you know? :D

If u were at the game both Nugent & in particularly Vardy were very disappointing. Vardys first touch was abysmal at times. We got that luck we have been missing with Vardys deflected goal but hopefully with both of them getting goals their confidence will now grow.

I love the lad but how Waggas is ahead of Beckford in the pecking order is beyond me....the only reason I can think of is Beckfords pending departure and the club don't want him getting injured.

Much needed 3 points. Onwards and upwards!

Weve got 9 from 6 and looking at the next set of fixtures, Id say 9 from 6 again is the absolute bare minimum that we should be taking if we are to stay within touching distance

No Joke. Alan Young gave him the award. He said Babs knows fvck all about anything and he would like to give him a big kiss.
