Leicester 2-1 Burnley Post Match Thread

If we beat Hull on sunday, then we could be in the play off positions come the final whistle! and for once back to back wins but a tough away game at Middlesbrough awaits so as long as we don't lose there i'd take a draw. Pearson in my mind as been given another chance with this win, so i hope for his sake his doesn't ruin it by losing to his old side.

Top, top goal from Vardy. Couldn't work out if he meant it at first. Still in love with Knockaert. Everytime he gets the ball he wants to move forward with it, always looking to push on rather than pass it back to the defence. We do need to sort out our first half performances though, and take more chances. Could have had 4 or 5 tonight. Still, a good 3 points and time to maul the tigers.

A poor performance but a win, I'll take that but we will have to up our game against Hull if we are to get anything. Biggest pluses are Nugent ending his goal drought and Knockaert's performance.

We would have lost this game last season.

Next few fixtures

Hull (H)

Middlesboro (A)

Huddersfield (A)

Brizzle (H)

Birmingham (A)

Brighton (H)

Some winnable looking fixtures there, but we need to step up our away form as a matter of urgency.

I can't see us getting anything from the 3 aways. Can't remember the last time I thought we'd get anything from an away game, really. They're a tough next 6. Hull & Brighton have both started very well too, won't be easy home games.

Ahh fúck it, "no easy games in this league".

Blackpool look hot and in a way we did comfortably beat them at home, under Learson our home record is brilliant, just need to start games quicker especially away from home. We can get auto this season I fell.

That was a very unconvincing win. Another night we could have lost and all the issues we have suffered from recently were on full display.

However here's hoping we can somehow build on the victory for what will be a much tougher test on Sunday.

kingfox cum everywhere.

St Ledger played very well, definitely up there with the best performers.

But not cum worthy, saving that for later.

Not really. Id argue the next 6 are harder than the first 6!

Hull(H) is probably our toughest test at home..there flying.

Boro(A) is a very tough game 3 wins out of 3 at home like us = to Blackburn.

Huddersfield(A) 2 wins 1 draw against Forest..tougher than Charlton away!

Bristol(H) They are scoring goals for fun..Harder than Peterboro!

Birmingham(A) Always a tough game away there. Again Id prefer Wolves/Charlton Away on paper.

Brighton(H) Another team thats flying, scoring goals and full of confidence.

The next 6 are crazy hard IMO. Other than Bristol at Home I cant see where we would win tbh. The next 2 we'd do well to get anything more than 1 point from! Huddersfield away maybe? but its tougher than it looked before the season..Hopefully the loss of Rhodes will hit them by then! Bristol should be winnable. Birmingham away is tough and Brighton is 1 of the harder Home games(they are the only team to win 2 or more away games currently).

Very tough..genuinly think harder than our first 6 when Burnley/Peterboro on paper are not exactly difficult and if were calling Charlton away 'tough' then nearly every away game in the league is even tougher IMO.

So tbh Id snap your hands off for 9-10 points out the next 6.

I think:

Hull(H) could go either way but Ill say draw.

Boro(A) tough tough game. Id snap your hand off for a draw but could see us losing.

Huddersfield(A) should be trying to win this, Could draw but we will probably have to win and Ill say we will.

Bristol(H) We'd have to win this and we will.

Birmingham(A) Another tough one. A win would be brilliant but a draw would be acceptable and I think we will get the draw.

Brighton(H) needing a win to hit the 10 point mark we will probably lose/draw.

Deserved win, Morgan Immense,Ledge steadyish, Drinky good, Marshall quiet, Knocky quality,Nuge & vardy got somedeserved luck for their tireless endeavour. Delaet ok offensively but worries me defensively. Great 3 points 100% home record & bring on Sunday :chant:

this, i thought we were shocking in the first half and although much better second half it could of easily been a draw another day. Not convinced at all

Plus points are Knocky, Morgan and Drinky (and Vardy and Nuge scoring - might boost their confidence etc)

Minuses - pretty much the rest of the team

It really was a tale of two halves, first half were dire to say the least. Although we had a number of chances, Marshall with a few shots from outside the box. I think first half we had a 4-4-2 set up which really wasn't working for whatever reason. I said at half time I would take Nugent and Vardy off, clearly shows how much I know about football.

Second half things got changed up in formation with us going 4-2-3-1, this for me was the telling change, it gave more oomph up front and with Drinky and James holding it made us very difficult to break down. They did have a few chances one which I thought was in and Kaspar making a good save.

Again we played for basically 50mins of the game, with us being nearly totally dominant in the second half with again not much cutting edge up front. But two goals from our main strikers when they were playing awful says it all really, things can change so fast in football.

Shocking first half, bette second but not a great performance, couldnt realyl care though.

Needed 3 points and we got it, need to build on it and get two wins in a row early on and try try to go on a run.

Vardys goal was a cross, though it went in and won us 3 points. Though against a very poor side. I can't get overly excited about beating Burnley 2-1 at home, when I predicted that they will be relegated with Peterborough and very convincingly as well.

We need to be scoring more at home in case our bad luck continues away from home to improve our goal difference.

And I'd like to wish Becks the best when he clearly leaves before or after the Hull game. I believe we'll miss him but that's just me. Hopefully he doesn't play for Huddlesfield or Leeds against us.

The confidence drained from us the second the goal went in, they and we probably thought time was nearly up. A bit of luck though and confidence flooded back and we played well after. Still the same problems, just a bit more luck though today than previously.
