marko Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 One average season in the Premier League and he's thinks he should be in England squad. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19830762
GLC Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 He's not international quality, but I think Lambert could do a job upfront instead of Andy Carroll
21st Century Fox Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Time to resurrect? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England_B_national_football_team
marko Posted 4 October 2012 Author Posted 4 October 2012 Time to resurrect? http://en.wikipedia....l_football_team I think the likes of Bent, Crouch, Graham, Lambert would get in a head of Holt the journeyman.
marko Posted 4 October 2012 Author Posted 4 October 2012 What an absolute tit. Pretty much hit the nail on the head for me! How could he seriously expect to be called up for those matches when Roy would be using them to prepare for Euro 2012 with his final squad?!
Jaspa Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Its all everyone else's fault then Think hes showing exactly why he wasn't picked, will trust Roys opinion/management above his anyway
AKCJ Posted 4 October 2012 Posted 4 October 2012 Well he's completely off form right now. If he was banging them in week in week out then fair enough. Hate ***** who automatically think they're good when 2/3 years ago nobody had heard of him.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Fat twat. Does he really think he's good enough?! Also Danny Graham
Tielemans63 Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Classic one season wonder - deserved to have one less cap than Michael Ricketts.
Finnegan Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Don't really get some of you. Okay, it's a bit of an arrogant thing to come out and say, but he was fantastic last season and should have gone to the Euros. I'd have picked him ahead of Carroll any day of the week, Norwich aren't a fashionable club but he was superb and an athletic target man is hard to find. Who have you got that's that type of player that's much, much better?
Filbert_Ross Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 i think time will tell he's not good enough but i do think he deserved a chance in some of the friendlies last season to show if he was or not on the back of his good goal scoring season.

Finnegan Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Hey, we aren't Wales you know. Not everyone who has a good season gets an automatic place in the squad! if he was Welsh he'd probably be our top goalscorer by now. In fact, I might go search through his family tree - everyone's got a granny from Ponty somewhere.

Who have you got that's that type of player that's much, much better? I'd go for Crouch over those two any day. Also Holt is hardly athletic. 'Bustling' maybe. Ruddy managed to get in the squad so he can't really blame it on the club he plays for.
bmt Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 I would have rather had him then Carroll up front on his own, could have had a game to try him out at least. Not sure why he's come out with this but I do sort of see where he's coming from.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 October 2012 Posted 5 October 2012 Shame he doesnt have a Scottish Grandma. I think Wayne Rooney had a Scottish grandma. Not that it would have qualified him to play for Scotland. BOOM BOOM. Holt should never have got anywhere near anEngland squad and didn't, so in my opinion it's a non-story.
