Guest MattP Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 ****ing love that programme. Genius. If we ever meet I'll show you my Silvio impression, always gets a laugh. (probably at me)
yorkie1999 Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 Firstly I didn't quote Cuba or any other country as an example. There aren't any. Humans (myself included) are far too greedy and self serving to even contemplate it. Secondly a 2 week holiday hardly constitutes a thorough investigation of a country's system - have you ever had 2 weeks in Skeg? Thirdly If a doctor was cleaning your toilet out for extra cash why would you even suggest that Cuba was an example of the system that I hypothesized? i know you didn't, but what you you did say was "Strive for a society of equal pay where each person does an available job his/her skills best suit" and that is what happens in cuba. Everyone is on the same wage and it is paid by the state, even if you choose not to work.

Guest Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 I'm sure it's great, I mean it's not like a lot of Cubans risk their lives trying to get to that evil empire of the USA is it? Sure they are just as many Americans trying the opposite. But what does Cuba have to do with anything? It was a complete redHerring.
Guest Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 Yes, because us women are all such poor, down-trodden, mouse-like, pitiful little things. But neither are most black people in England. The argument was that it's based, quite rightly, on history. Women have been poor, down todden, abused etc... for millenia.

act smiley Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 ****ing love that programme. Haha yes, it's genius. I saw it in a hotel room a couple of months ago, and didn't know what it was. I thought the main guy looked familar but couldn't place him.
flowwolf Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 But fat people can do something about being fat, History bullshit. So Black people have a problem about being black but can't do anything about it
flowwolf Posted 26 October 2012 Posted 26 October 2012 But neither are most black people in England. The argument was that it's based, quite rightly, on history. Women have been poor, down todden, abused etc... for millenia. History tells us that we the homo sapiens wiped out the Neanderthals does that make you feel guilty ? Bad history is a bloody awful thing to base your present life around , so many people spend their whole life banging on about the slave trade despite never having been in that position themselves. It is what it was, a terrible time in humanities history, something any decent human should be ashamed of but not something we should let colour our whole lives in the present day.
Rincewind Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 Yes but we should learn from it or at least try and make sure nothing like it happens again. Humans are inbred as warlike, and to survive like all animals it's survival of the fittest. Wew recognise these things now because of our advancement in technology and the mind. Our brain has developed greatly to primitive time but we still wage war. WE still try to rule others and want to dominate. If we shared everything out in a few years there would be a few dominan stronger types taking all the wealth and land and wanting to take over the world. I do not crave for any of the power. We can't all be leaders. I prefer brain over brawn.
flowwolf Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 I think the problem is Nightguard that people have learned from history and then let that knowledge of the past dominate their whole being by going around with a big chip on their shoulders about what was done to their race a couple of hundred years ago, when the protagonists of those awful deeds are long dead and gone. As a white man living in the present day I am not responsible for the slave trade or colonisation during the British Empire and I'm damned if I will let anyone try to make me feel that I somehow owe people for what my ancestors did. Do I hate the Italians for what the Romans did or the French for the bloody Normans ? or present day Germans for what the Nazi's did of course not it is in the past. By all means learn from the past but don't let it rule your future outlook on life.
Rincewind Posted 27 October 2012 Posted 27 October 2012 By the same token I do not join in the glorification of Britain's past exploits. What are borders anyway but imaginary lines drawn up in prehistoric times to mark hunting areas. Tribes kept to their own patch so food and clothing was shared out pretty much fairly. Then one tribe hit a bad patch and decided they'd take their neighbours food or starve. Things sort of got worse ever since. Now it's the oil that is wanted.

Everyone is on the same wage and it is paid by the state, even if you choose not to work. Not strictly true. Yes the state wage is the same for all professions. Which is why most people working in hotels are doctors etc. As they can earn more due to tips. But the unemployed are on a voucher system. Ration based to include food, clothes, sprits and cigars/fags. You can only use the correct vouchers for each purpose.

Nick Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Is youtube the new prosecutor? http://news.sky.com/...l-abuse-inquiry Not sure if this is the same one - I think it may be a little older. She does remind me of a few on here actually! The important thing is that she comes across as being really bright:
Captain... Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Is youtube the new prosecutor? http://news.sky.com/...l-abuse-inquiry If they want to find the woman, why don't they put the video up instead of a grainy CCTV photo? It doesn't look like the same woman in Nick's video. The CCTV photo looks more like this woman but this one was posted in Feb

Reynard Bleu Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 How do you know of the situation and how about the atrocities they did to our people. The war was a 2-way thing, something which the British media largely forgot. And Kosovo is a completely different situation to the separation of the ex-Yugoslav states - an area that is illegally trying to be wrestled away under the grasps of Serbia by the Americans and EU - just look at what some of the Kosovan Albanians have done to highly religious Serbian monasteries across Kosovo. Because I was there, and in Bosnia. I saw the results of ethnic cleansing and the war for a Greater Serbia.

Darkon84 Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I was racially abused and sterotyped when I was in town tonight. I know there are some racism 'champions' here like purpleronnie and mark_w(?) that stick up for all that is anti racist. I would like to know what I should do/should have done to deal with this horrific incident?
Nick Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 Well apparently it shouldn't be a crime, just a civil offence and you should keep quiet about it and not make a fuss or it'll spread and the black lawyers association will get involved. Alternatively you could see anybody who holds the above opinion as a narrow minded cvnt and stand up for yourself and your civil liberties by reporting the individuals involved to the Police and if it relates to a particular premises and those running it, the council that licences them. Sorry you had that experience - some people really are ignorant imbeciles.
flowwolf Posted 10 November 2012 Posted 10 November 2012 I 100% agree with Nick ( got to be a first ) I'm not a racism champion but deplore the kind of scum that did that to you, I presume there were more than one ? there usually is. What to do ? well he/they were probably looking to get a reaction and if you had had a go back at them it probably would have then got physical just what they were hoping for. So all in all ignoring them would be the most prudent thing to do at that time. But I understand your anger please don't think they represent what the majority of people think that's all.
