Is there anything the 'Sikh race' isn't good at ;)

Romance, cunning, rape and pillaging!!

Pretty nieve race, too trusting, like argiuing amongst themselves, pompous!

*Sigh* So remind me again, why has this thread descended into a bitching session about India and British Indians in England when its pretty clear Dickson-Wright was referring to an area of Leicester massively populated by British-Pakistani's? :dunno:

His name is Moose Breath, I dunno what he used to be called!

Somewhere near Leicester City Centre is a fcuking dump shocker.

Tomorrow we'll have the Pope is a Catholic and the Sun will rise.

Make's you wonder how long she has spent in the countryside and out of the city if she genuinely expected Leicester to be a nice place.

But Leicester is a nice place.

Absolutely gorgeous isn't it?. I've spent the last five days in Malvern, Cheltenham, Bristol, Ditcheat and Nottingham and when I got back onto London Road I just thought, "wow, this is a really nice place".

Posted

Ahhh so now one road constitutes a whole city.

I guess its a back handed compliment, because if people genuinely believe leicester isnt a nice place then boy we must live in a truly beautiful country...which we do.

But no doubt they really don't mean it and just want to continually post their negative bollocks....maybe they need some valium.

Whilst i wouldn't call Leicester frightening, i would call it miserable.

That's because we have too may Mattp's and not enough Soccerroo's in Leicester.

To be fair Leicester like every other city has its grim bits. Generally we should reflect that it is fortunate most 60 something women (or men for that matter) dont get their thoughts on race published.

A lot of nice buildings in Leicester, but the trouble is they're suffocated by some monstrosities and aren't really well set back enough for people to appreciate them.

But Leicester is a nice place.

It has about as much charm as some fat bint flogging a shit book by slating a load of things and places.

It's a bland city, but it's my bland city.

I could have mentioned 100 roads, I wouldn't have to the time to mention every one in this shithole.

Very, I had a friend come back from NZ last year and he said you could smell the misery in the centre.

That's because we have too may Mattp's and not enough Soccerroo's in Leicester.

You have never even met either of us. And you are regarded as one of the negative and pessimistic posters on here, Don't blame me for the Centre, I hardly spend any time there, life is far too short.

Maybe its all the real shitholes I've been too in the US and other countries that makes me laugh when people call places in leicester compared to them its paradise. :D

Possibly, I thought Detriot and Atlanta were dumps but still thought higher of them than I did this place, where abouts you been?

Yeah it sure reads that way.

I guess if you consider a bit of litter or terraced housing as a shithole you need to get out more.

You hold detroit in higher regard than leicester, are you insane?

That pretty much confirms my previous posts, no matter how terrible a city is as long as its not in England its ok.

Leicester isn't that bad. I find it odd Nottingham is mentioned in the comparison list considering it's pretty much exactly the same (except with a shitter football team and more chance of getting shot).

There isn't a lot between most British Cities IMO, none of them are that great, there's the shit parts and the decent parts, but they appear worse because of the shit weather.

Everyone's always raving about these places in Italy for example, when really they're just run down old buildings, dangerous roads and horrible little side streets. And worst of all you just get a feeling of isolation compared to places like Leicester.

So really I'm quite partial to all our shitholes, as long as they're well populated ;)

I'm not referring to terraced housing.

I actually didn't think Detriot was anywhere near as bad as people made out to be, in terms of the actual centre it was better than Leicester, I can't believe you would think different, the area around Comerica Park was quite lovely and we had been told it was a shithole, I'm sure the projects are complete dumps but I can't judge that against the centres if that's what we are talking about.

The UK is stunning, I'm not saying it isn't, I've seen enough of it but if you are seriously claiming Leicester is a nice place I think it's you who needs to get around this country more.

I still love you Matt.

Maybe I just have really low standards.

Blame centuries of the Camorra for that.

For me Leicester misses any stand out features, is quite a small city centre and doesn't have many tall buildings. Notts has the river, bigger open areas, larger buildings. It all adds to a bigger grander feel for me personally. Plus much of our niceer buildings are shoved off down side streets people rarely go down, where as other cities seem to have them in their main areas.

I went down cultural quarter on Saturday and it looked great with all the lights from the curve and athena, it's just a shame 99% of people visiting the city won't see it. It you had all of that along say Granby Street and people walked past it all from the station it would make a great impression.

Yeh most of the South is.

Even the North doesn't strike my fancy as a place to live, most people love that kind of place but I just don't get it.

But that's just my personal taste, it all depends on what you look for.
