To be fair the Asian part of every city is a shithole. I'm not old enough to know whether these places were like that before the Asians moved in or because they did.

Good one.

idiot.

What's the mater with you? Just bought a house on Belgrave Road or something?

He's right. Why are you always pretending to be offended by racism which you've assumed but which does not actually exist? Almost like you're looking for opportunities to get on your high horse. Certainly wouldn't be the first to do that on here, but it still makes you look like an idiot.

Mooosebreath, your right wing racist bile makes you an idiot, so if I 'look like an idiot' to you I'm very happy about that.

Didn't really answer my question. Why don't you explain exactly what was wrong with bb's post?

Of course it's a racist post but being a racist you wouldn't realise that.

The media are brainwashing us.... Take a step back and see whats going on in the real world.

Every few days there`s a half baked racism story plastered all over the news, always against a white person with the aim of making us feel guilty.

Fvck off!.... Its boring.

Why don't you explain how it is racist given that it's an accurate observation.

Accurate how though? How can you justify a statement like that? It's clearly a lie, every asian part of every city?? he's never been to them so it smacks of racism, I'm sure you can see that, but you feel the need to back every racist post on here because...well you know why, I'm not surprised you agree I'm sure you feel every area where there is a high density of non whites is automatically a shithole, he clearly has a inherent dislike or close minded view of areas like that purely based on his racist view.

Not all Asian areas of Leicester are shitholes.

They have colonised nice areas like Oadby and Evington.

It doesnt bother me but if me and some of my mates from back home come to Leicester they go down Melton road and always make a comment, like I said it doesn't bother me but it is a bit awkward

But why is it awkward? Are Asians seen as sub-human or something?

You know in India people literally shit all over the streets, cows and goats wander around uncontrolled, people live in shelters made from piles of trash. Am I racist for pointing that out?

As far as I'm aware, all areas in the UK which are populated almost entirely by Asians (thus becoming "asian areas") are low value, low income inner city suburbs which can quite easily be described as shitholes.

If you can point in the direction of an area with a population of more than say 10k, and where Asians make up 80%+ of the residents, and which is affluent and well looked after then I'll stand corrected.

Oadby and to a lesser extent Evington.

No. That's not racist.

OK. That's racist.

The clue is in 'as far as I am aware' You admit you do not know the full truth yet still make assumptions. Who do you mean by Asians? It is a very large continent which includes many countries that are not India or Pakistan.

I have not read too much on what she actually said but I suspect it is more ignorance than racism. Like many she hears the stories about a few and does not know how to differentiate. Sad really.

The more publicity there is though the more it stirs the can of worms. Best thing to do is boycott her book but the opposite will happen and the sales will go up just because there will be a lot that will buy it to see what other things she has ridiculed.

Aye, take a walk down the Fairway, Manor Road or the Broadway. All half million quid houses and mostly owned by Asians now.

Even in the most widely understood British context, that of people who can trace their roots back to the Indian subcontinent, there are huge variations within the Asian community.

The educational achievement of Indian pupils is higher than any other ethnic group besides Chinese students. This has been the case for some time and means that a quarter of NHS doctors are now Asian and that there is a rapidly growing British-Indian middle class. The biggest Indian area in London for example is Harrow, closely followed by Hounslow. While not exactly Windsor or Henley, neither of these are hellish ethnic shitholes. Here a well-established and healthy Indian community exists and has done for years.

On the other hand, Pakistani and Bangladeshi students have lower educational attainment and the areas in which Pakistani and Bangladeshi people conglomerate tend to have higher levels of poverty. The problem is that some see this as a chicken and egg situation, getting the wrong end of the stick completely. Some think that these areas are rough because of the fact that Asian people live there, which is false. These areas are rough because they have a great number of people living there who live in poverty, irrespective of their colour. The same can be said of largely white areas such as Eyres Monsell, an area that suffers from high unemployment but is 95% white. Leicestershire Constabulary itself shows that the total number of crimes committed in Eyres Monsell was more than double that seen in multi-racial Evington in September 2012. http://www.ukcrimestats.com/Neighbourhood/Leicestershire_Constabulary/Eyres_Monsell

The conclusion must therefore be that it is poverty that causes crime and deprivation, not skin tone. That is why Clarissa Dickson-Wright and Moosey are wrong on this one.

Really? Wow, I never knew that. You're so knowledgeable, and so wise. Just amazing.
