Guest Col city fan Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Like Mark said, who wouldn't want him back? Him and Naughton I would take back in an instant, and if that means De Laet dropping out and even St Ledger then so be it. Vitor was a quality centre back and my favourite ever loan signing. Creep....
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Jay Emmanuel-Thomas followed by Marlon King followed by Troy Deeney. What? An established goal-scoring striker plus a big strong bloke in the centre of the park?
dmayne7 Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 What? An established goal-scoring striker plus a big strong bloke in the centre of the park? JET doesn't play in the middle of the park. Big Mick intends to use him up top and whilst he is really talented and has all the physical attributes, he is lazy and inconsistent so at the moment, he would provide nothing to team and in fact be a hinderance if anything. I know JET is your love child and anything I say will not detract from that but you should really know a lot more about him if you're going to try and convince people.

JET is a 'utility player' and can play anywhere. You're right, he is a talented player, playing currently in a crappy side (although I won't be at all surprised soon to see Ipswich climb up the league). I do know a fair bit about him, but never divulge my sources. Get him playing and I think he'd be ideal for City. I'm not saying this is realistic... I doubt Pearson has ever considered him, but this is a 'wishlist' thread, or so I thought? Just because he isn't one of the 'usual suspects' being touted about on here by the masses, doesn't mean I know nothing about him.

I didn't say you know nothing about him nor am I saying that you can't suggest him on this thread, what I am taking issue with is you saying that you he is going to be the big, strong centre midfielder that some people think we need. His best position is in behind the front man but on current form he's not fit to lace Knockaert boots (and he hasn't exactly been lightling it up recently). JET can't even get into an Ipswich side which is devoid of any creative spark so clearly he wouldn't have a hope of getting anywhere near our first team. I wouldn't be adverse to signing him though. Given the right environment he could develop into a top player but that's all IF's and maybes, and quite frankly, I'd rather see some our own talented youngsters given a chance. Oh, and he is on the 'usual suspects being touted about on here' because you bang on about him so much

I'm replying to plonkers who know nothing about him but who choose to dismiss a player cos they don't know anything about him. And its a potentially realistic call in a thread that contains Scott Sinclair!

Would you use him as a defensive midfielder, striker (since those are the two positions you keep banging on about), or somewhere else entirely? Yes he's adaptable, but I didn't think he'd be the answer to either of the two 'problems' you want us to fix, I got the impression he's more someone who operates in the role I think Marshall, Gallagher and Knockaer best occupy just behind the striker, is that not the case?
Father Ted Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 CAN A MODERATOR PLEASE BAN THE USE OF THE NAME 'JAY EMMANUEL-THOMAS' ON THIS FORUM. THANK YOU

Thats where he plays for Ipswich, when he plays. But he can play centre-mid perfectly happily.

It really shows what you know about football if you rate JET but don't think Waghorn is good enough. JET is a STRIKER who has scored SEVEN goals in 58 matches for Ipswich. He can't even start for Ipswich. He has the touch of a donkey. You rave about him being big but that means nothing. He cannot hold the ball up, he is weak. He is a larger reincarnation of Elvis Hammond.

Let's not have one rule for Waghorn and another for everyone else shall we, going to need some goals scored per minutes played as a striker stats if you're going to dismiss him.
LCFC FOX Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Cunningham, Stewart/Brady, Wood and we are sorted!

He's played pretty much every game as a striker. I'm sure Waggy has played more minutes out wide than JET has in another position apart from up top. Col is an idiot. There's only one striker I would look to sign and that would be Chris Wood.

And its a potentially realistic call in a thread that contains Scott Sinclair! Ha, I was only joking but obviously that can't have been aimed at me as I seem to be the one educating you about him . When I saw Hull v Ipswich he was playing right wing and then for a bit played off the front man. He scored a quality goal but he left Ipswich so exposed and gave the ball away so much that he undid any good work. Both Hull goals could be traced back to him. If was to play Centre Mid for us at the moment I would probably cry. Rather see the likes of Moreno and Junior Lewis in there. And no, I'm not kidding!
Kitchandro Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Cunningham, Stewart/Brady, Wood and we are sorted! Please be joking. If Cunningham has been mentioned seriously twice I'm flabbergasted.
dmayne7 Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Chopra anyone? No. He's a cvnt and we already have one of those in JB who couldn't do the business and he's got more going for him than Chops.
LCFC FOX Posted 6 December 2012 Posted 6 December 2012 Please be joking. If Cunningham has been mentioned seriously twice I'm flabbergasted. Why do you not rate him? I think he would make good back up for Koncheskey and he is young

One post you decide 'in the right environment he could develop into a quality player' then you say you'd rather have Junior Lewis? At least be consistent...
