muzzy1981 Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Before any posts potential signings can people always consider two things. 1. Nige won't pay over £1m for a player 2. They won't be given high wages So non of these apply Zamora Wright -Phillips Mackie (maybe) Hoilett Cisse Andy Johnson
Kitchandro Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Nigel never seems to sign the players everyone is raving about on here, so you can forget Trotter, Emmanuel-Thomas ( ), Wood and Graham
Danno Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 I doubt he'll sign a new striker to be honest, a new striker could disrupt our high pressing game if he is too different
5waller5 Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 If he doesn't sign a striker in January then he'll cost himself promotion and therefore his job IMHO.

whoareyaaa Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 I think it really depends on where we are in the league at the end of December. I think one addition wouldn't hurt us but too many would disrupt the squad and thats the last thing we want.
Corky Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Nigel never seems to sign the players everyone is raving about on here, so you can forget Trotter, Emmanuel-Thomas ( ), Wood and Graham The whole forum was pleading for Knockaert last season.
5waller5 Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 The whole forum was pleading for Knockaert last season. Let's do whatever we did then then!!! There's a few things about this season I'm loving ... and Knockaert is most of them!!
Kitchandro Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 The whole forum was pleading for Knockaert last season. I'd never heard of him until the day before we signed him
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Allegedly, he paid about 2.8 mill for knockaert. Knocky was a bargain - trust me. None of this silly £1m+ money bolllocks as has been speculated.
TrentFox Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 I doubt he'll sign a new striker to be honest, a new striker could disrupt our high pressing game if he is too different Yeah - God forbid we end up with one who can convert a great percentage of chances rather than one who presses hard !
Tommy G Posted 30 November 2012 Posted 30 November 2012 Has to sign a striker in Jan or we can wave bye bye to auto's
brookfox Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 A lot probably depends on if we can get Becks, Gally, Danns and Wellens of the wage bill. In terms of signings it'll probably be more interesting to see what type of player we sign. Young and hungry or an older experienced head? First team starter or squad player? We seem to have a really tightly knit core of about 18 players which is a bit light on numbers but not quality. I reckon our biggest challenge will be balancing squad harmony with pushing the first team with a few new numbers.
LCFC FOX Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Think we will sign Woods, Stewart and a new LB
Danno Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 It would be nice to sign a striker, a winger (to compete for places seeing as one of Dyer or Knockaert have to start every week anyway seeing as we only have three wingers) and possibly a holding midfielder like Trotter.
Lambert09 Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 I would personally take a punt on young Tom Pope, the boy knows where the net is and would be a great player coming off the bench. Cant see us bringing in another striker though and its debatable if we need one.
Bugg Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Tom ****ing Pope He's having a good year but he's been absolute toilet at every other lower league club he's been at, the only place he's shown form is at his current one (the club he supports) And 27 years old isn't young.
Grewks Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Chris wood has shown over the last 2 seasons at milwall and brum that he knows where the goal is in the championship and would be a good purchase.
Mattthefox Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Scott Sinclair isn't getting any action at man city, maybe we could try and get him on loan?
Danno Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Scott Sinclair isn't getting any action at man city, maybe we could try and get him on loan? are you serious?
kingfox Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Stephen Gleeson looks a cracking player for the MK Dons this afternoon.
Adster Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Scott Sinclair isn't getting any action at man city, maybe we could try and get him on loan? !!!
Bugg Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Stephen Gleeson looks a cracking player for the MK Dons this afternoon. I think Peterborough were interested in him last season but couldn't afford him, I agree that he looks a decent player though.
FoxLAD Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 I wouldn't mind these three players Chris wood (for obvious reasons) and west brom will let him go for 1 mill. Bargin. Michail Antonio (if thats spelt right) seems to be doing well at wenesday and has pace to burn!! Nahki Wells (again if that is spelt right) again has pace to burn, has had a good season so far, an ideal sub to bring on for last 20/15 mins of matches
