foxesfan1989 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Quite a few departing I would have thought, my guess would be: Out: Gally, Wellens, Danns, Beckford In: Goal scoring striker, attacking midfielder, possibly a cb on loan if the defensive injuries continue.

It depends on these 4 for me. If they come back in (and pull in the right direction) we don't need reinforcements. If they do leave, we need a striker, CM and another attacking player/winger.

Been talking to couple of Norwich friends & they are interested in bringing in Beckford to play with Holt, they want someone with pace & a good finisher...........Hahaha!

Not being funny, but are these friends in a position from which to make this happen or just fans with a wishlist?
LCFCCHRIS Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 We cant really decide exactly what we need at the minute, we've still got 7 games until the window opens!

Captain... Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 We cant really decide exactly what we need at the minute, we've still got 7 games until the window opens! Fair point if by then we have Nugent and SSL back fit and Whitbread and vardy/futacs putting in a number of strong performances, knocky Dyer and Marshall scrapping it out for the 2 wide roles, Nugent waghorn and vardy competing up front, Moore snapping at the heels of cb and rb the only place we don't have competition is in the middle oh and gk
Leicester_Numan Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 The fact that Pearson was trying to strengthen on Thursday suggests he thinks we're a little short in certain areas. If we can get rid of Beckford, Danns & Gallagher then we'll have to bring 1 or 2 in anyway. As always they'll be the right players with the right attitude at the right price.
FoxesFan100 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I am really un-sure about some of our fans on the whole is Vardy good enough. The lad has only had around 10 games in this league and scored four goals already, jeez does someone think he'd be the next messi or ronaldo. Vardy is good enough he just needs to gain more confidence. If I remember correctly people were moaning about Waghorn a few games ago, when confidence is flowing things will be fine. We're not even in that big of a striker trouble, Waghorn and Vardy did well yesterday and should they start on Tuesday I'd have no worries about the potential to score.

Vardy will be good in time I feel, he has climbed from the Blue Square straight into Npower Championship football, it will take serious time adjusting, probably the majority of the season to get to grips with this league. Vardy is a player who will give 110% every game, even if nothing pays off he will try, so far he has been very hit and miss but that is understandable, he has done very well in some games and of course has found the net, I think if he gets between 10-15 goals this season, I for one will be happy. I think we could do with a striker in January, make a real go of things and show teams how much we want promotion, it's seven subs now as well of course so nobody will get left out, having Nugent, Vardy, Waghorn, Futacs and another striker as options would make us even more dangerous. We also could do with a midfielder to replace Danns and Lingard(if we don't extend his loan). Right this moment I would definitely try and get in Chris Wood and maybe someone like Ross Barkley on loan.

Mack Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I can see more leaving that coming, players like Gallagher, Beckford, Danns etc. If it was me I'd add a striker if we could find one of any quality in the silly January market. I'd also look to add a versatile defender as extra cover.
MattyFromLE Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Make Lingard permanent would be nice. But would love to sign Charlie Austin or Chris Wood. Have you seen him play? Based on the 30 minutes he's played for us he's been extremely ineffective.
cc_star Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Leeds will have a lot more headroom than us January to strengthen, Forest, Brighton & Watford maybe too They'll have a lot more room than us to play under the FFP thresholds & whereas we still need to downsize the squad and that's as it stands which some people say is already thin, (but I think is nicely balanced & competitive) Gally, Wellens, Danns (& Beckford if he doesn't score regularly) will all take some shifting, it's not just a case of wanting to sell them, it's a case of someone wanting them & us probably paying off some of the contract, which means even in this getting rid of players we actually have even more financial outgoing on the cards as we remain hamstrung by the recklessness with zero return of the previous management structure. With that, I doubt we'll be in for anyone like Yakubu or Roberts & it will more likely be 18-19yo's like Keane & Lingard
LCFC FOX Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 So just because he's from Utd reserves he's promising? Great. Let's get Bebe too then while we're at it. LCFC FOX for manager. Yes I've also won the premier league with Liverpool on FM13 as well so I do have a bit of experience. I think I could cope with some of the moron fans we have!
JoeyB Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 if we are serious about going up i think all we need to do is look at what southampton did last season, the brought a goalscorer a poacher type player in just to see them over the line, i think thats what we need to do, if we can get someone who can get 10+ goals between end of jan and the start of the season we should be fine
Sods Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Think he most certainly will sign players looking back on his record of signing players, he loves a loan move just before March to get us through the season. 08/09 09/10 Previous Signings in January : Tom Cleverley, Wayne Brown. - Nolberto Solano Previous Signing Jan - March : Astrit Ajdarevic, - Alex Bruce, James Vaughan, Jay Spearing. I didn't include Marshall, Morgan and Drinkwater from last season as Pearson wasn't here for a full season. We also signed Bunn, Warner and Stockdale on loan in league one during Jan and March.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Buy: One of Austin, Wood or Kane Alan Judge Jay Emanuel Thomas Sell: Beckford Gallagher Wellens Danns
AyewJoking Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 I'd expect one or two to add strength in depth rather than quality to make the difference. That Beckford bloke at Huddersfield looks a bit tasty, we need a prolific goalscorer.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Buy: One of Austin, Wood or Kane Alan Judge Jay Emanuel Thomas Sell: Beckford Gallagher Wellens Danns Alan Judge? Notts County Alan Judge?
