eye666 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Maybe worth seeing if we can get Danny Graham in on loan? Not getting much of a look-in at Swansea at the moment. I know he cost them a fair bit, but if Laudrup doesn't rate him and he's not getting games, he may let him go out on loan. Wishful thinking perhaps!
Jimmy1992 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 It does seem a logical move for the new owners to be honest. If they want to hit off immediately with the fans then what better way than to bring in a cult hero. I'd love him back here.

Hopefully Chris Wood, maybe Billy Sharp on loan perhaps. Bring in a defensive midfielder like Trotter too to see out away games.
Burbage Fox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 The last thing we need is an influx of new players while we're doing well, I'd be sceptical about any new signings if we're still doing as well as we are. But I'd trust Walsh and Pearson if they decided to bring in one or two new additions. Really don't think we need anyone at the moment though, we've got a good keeper, if Whitbread and Schlupp can keep up their recent form I can't see any reason to add in defence, the midfield is fine and I think Vardy and Waghorn have done well enough to suggest that they shouldn't be third and fourth choice. I imagine it's going to be a transfer window more about selling than bringing players in unless the situation changes between now and then. I Like Vardy and Waghorn but both are similar and as was shown on Saturday lack that clinical finish that might prove costly in tight games against better opposition so if anything I would look for a striker but they have to fit in with the current great team ethos. If you follow the West Brom example when you are doing well just add the odd better player to the group and that will improve the whole group. On another point I dont like saying this but actually agreed with Alan Young on the phone in last night, the work Vardy does makes defenders hurry into making errors and so they tend to lump it and give us the ball back, as for people saying he is struggling, he has hardly played recently so cant be judged, I presume these comments are from people who dont actually go to the games.

Why wouldn't you like Danny Graham? I don't think he would be a bad signing, he was quality for Watford at this level, while last season at Swansea he did well. I am surprised he is quite out of favour at Swansea. Chris Wood would be top of my list as well though, but Graham wouldn't be bad.

I remember when he tore us a new one a couple of seasons ago.

Yep Dan wouldn't be keen, probably cause he has the same name as him. Danny Graham is a quality striker at this level, and I would take him(not up the arse, for you dirty minded peeps)

I think it's difficult to predict who Nige is gonna go for mate. Some of his signings have popped up out of the blue, so to speak. He seems to play his cards massively close to his chest and rightly so IMO.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Do we really have people turning their noses up at the suggestion of signing Danny Graham? ****ing hell. This forum beggars belief sometimes.

kingfox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 He'll be back, you'll see. Yes playing for another team.
Bryn Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 If we're firmly around automatics I would personally want us to have an earnest crack at luring Charlie Austin. I think he will likely go to the Prem or stay at Burnley, but you never know, the promoted clubs last season all went out and picked up strikers.

With them doing so well, and the fact they have Long, Fortune and Odemwingie should make Wood easier to get
