tommyh Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 hi everyone just wanted your thoughts on where would the best part of the stadium be for me to get my half season ticket?? I live in Stoke on trent and have finally decided to get one instead of just making the normal 5 or so games each season. Im 26 years old and will be travelling by train every home game on my own ( all my friends are stokies) and just wanted to be sitting with the right crows really to enjoy my match days more. Absolutly love lcfc, and football in general and always up for a beer or two before, during and after the game. Any help would be much apreciated!!

Are you wanting to stand or sit?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 If you're looking for atmosphere, you need to be in block L, J Or K1 in the east stand, or even N1 in the family stand. If you want the best view, arguably the top of the Kop would be your best bet.
Adster Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 In terms of the best places to sit. I'm in Row J block B2 and the view is absolutely fantastic. No atmosphere, however.
Rocket-Ron Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Not near me, I sit near Danny, Danny's a knobhead
DanTheMan Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 All about H1 FF - seats about 3/4 of the way up the stand and to the left of the half-way line, makes for decent viewing, even when the action is up the other end... Get some cracking views when the goals go in the end nearest, Waghorn's crossbar effort and Nugent's two late strikes on Saturday were very tasty indeed!
LCFC FOX Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 N1 at the top next to the away fans, Decent atmosphere that joins in with L1 and slowly started to be our own singing block. Also a better view than in L1. Sit at the only top 5 rows next to the away fans stand though.
Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Wherever's the cheapest. It used to be worth spending more to go in K or J but nowadays it's often a disappointment. Of course, if you want to stand you'll have a better chance if you get a ticket in there. The view is good all around the ground, of course it depends whether you like being closer to the action or a better perspective of the pitch.
promised land Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Am I right in saying that from this seson onwards they have stopped people going into the family stand if they don't have kids? I'm sure I read it somewhere, maybe someone knows. For view, I sit in the middle of SK2, middle block behind the goal about half way up and the view is great, I have sat all around the ground over the years and can say there isn't a bad view in it. Atmosphere can be dull in certain parts, the Kop has been finding it's voice again thanks to the lot at the back.
kyleolly Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 I stood in sk2 2nd from back row nn on Saturday great view, good atmosphere and some good lads having a laugh would certainly recommend it unless your a 30 stone fat bastard then you wouldn't Make it up all those steps

That's not true, Ive been in there and I didn't have a child with me, did have an U18, but there are older people in there who clearly aren't with kids.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 L and K block. Best views and atmosphere. If you want to take a packed lunch then sit in the weat end

Maybe they didn't go through with it then but in the summer they were considering it but I knew blokes in there last season with season tickets so the club would somehow have to evict those if it went ahead. Either way to the OP, any seat is a good one it is if you want a bit of atmosphere where you'll be.
Guest MattP Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 Single middle aged blokes with season tickets in the family stand?
acooling08 Posted 3 December 2012 Posted 3 December 2012 If you want the best position to view the game, go half way up either above the tunnel or opposite it. J/K Block for standing and atmosphere.
LCFC_Nige Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 Sorry if this is a dumb question... Any idea why you can't buy match tickets in N1 online? You can get half season tickets there at the mo...

See my post about family stand earlier, pretty sure they want families only in that section but as I said I may be wrong and it's because under 8 tickets are free so you can't do it online. Ask the ticket office.

Ask the ticket office. I've emailed the ticket office about the 'family only' thing. Will let you know. Quite interested in N1 for a cheap and atmospheric season ticket having looked on here. Sounds decent.
promised land Posted 4 December 2012 Posted 4 December 2012 They do get more of an atmosphere than SK at times but I think that is down to more kids in the area. Scarf twirling and Poznan seems a must over there!
