pazzerfox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Alex Aldridge @accordingtoaldo Was told yesterday there was "no real difference" between #millwall's contract offer and #lcfc's. To do with promotion chances. Huge blow.
Grey Fox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Get it done by jan 1st for Huddersfield I very much doubt he will be able to play against Huddersfield. I'm pretty sure a permanent signing has to be registered by 12 noon the previous day to play in a match the following day. Unless we can do some clever loan deal for the first 24 hours, which I don't think is possible, then he wont be eligible in time. I think anyway?

We did the loan thing to enable Howard and Hayles to play against QPR a few years ago but don't know whether we can do that this time, or will bother.
foxesfan1989 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Seems done deal. Millwall fans are going mental...good sign!
Grey Fox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 We did the loan thing to enable Howard and Hayles to play against QPR a few years ago but don't know whether we can do that this time, or will bother. Fingers crossed we can and do then.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Strongly doubt he'll play against Huddersfield. A couple of games where he could start well after that though, Burton and Bristol City at home in quick succession.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Seems done deal. Millwall fans are going mental...good sign! The internet has become a Sea of South London Sorrow. That kids, is alliteration. Can you guess the other literary device? I bet Millwall fans can't.
Corky Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 A lot of bitter Millwall fans out there tonight! Probably throwing coins at their computers.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Probably throwing coins at their computers. Explains some of the spelling.
foxesfan1989 Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 His loan to Millwall officially ends Jan 1 According to a Millwall journo he wont play for them again
GingerrrFox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 His loan to Millwall officially ends Jan 1 Doesn't matter about the Millwall WBA can recall him so he's available from 1st Jan.
Woollett's Wellies Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 According to a Millwall journo he wont play for them again Yep! Just saw that myself. Apparently Jackett has already sent him back to WBA.
davieG Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 According to a Millwall journo he wont play for them again I'm sure he wont but he may well still be registered as Millwall player on Jan 1
Grey Fox Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 His loan to Millwall officially ends Jan 1 I thought that article you posted said they had sent him back to West Brom? Even so if we can somehow loan him at midnight on the 31st, then he could be in the squad for Udders.
LCFC Todd Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Yep! Just saw that myself. Apparently Jackett has already sent him back to WBA. Where have you seen that?
Woollett's Wellies Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 Where have you seen that? © Nicky Hayes MILLWALL have been dealt a blow in the transfer market after learning that loan star Chris Wood has agreed to sign for rivals Leicester City. Both clubs had bids accepted by West Brom for the 21-year-old but the Lions have now conceded defeat in the race to land him, with the striker set to have a medical in the Midlands on Thursday. NewsAtDen understands that boss Kenny Jackett has elected to send Wood back to the Baggies immediately and will not play him against Cardiff or Bristol City before his loan ends on January 1. The New Zealand international had previously stated that he would "definitely" sign for Millwall if given the opportunity, but the Foxes have convinced him to move to the King Power Stadium. Chairman John Berylson revealed earlier this month that enquiries have already been made for other targets and Jackett will now begin to set the wheels in motion on other deals. Thought I'd copy and paste it. The site is NewsAtDen.

Alexikokopops Posted 26 December 2012 Posted 26 December 2012 We did the loan thing to enable Howard and Hayles to play against QPR a few years ago but don't know whether we can do that this time, or will bother. Howard and Hayles? Or Howard and Oakley? My main memory of that, apart from the mother of all hangovers, was Steve Howard hitting the post from about 25 yards and thinking "he's more than just a big man". Ah, Steve...
