1. Why would Trotter leave Millwall to come here when we're in no better position than them?

2. Why would Millwall sell to a team so close to them?

1. We're massive compared to them, long-term they've got no chance of competing with us. The two clubs might be fairly level at the moment but Millwall can't keep overachieving. Surely he'd like to play in the prem one day, that isn't likely at Millwall.

2. Difficult to stop a player if he wants to go which he may do for the reasons above.

Come on mate, Trotter and Wood look like bloody good signings on the face of it, admittedly, so did Beckford and Mills. Obviously you're not always going to be right about a player when he arrives at the club but can't you just let people be happy with two decent looking signings? (if they do sign for us that is)

Trotter could actually be a more pivotal signing than Wood in a sense.

We desperately need a combative midfielder in the middle of the park, we've been outfought more than once this season in that area.

Nevertheless, two very good signings if they both join us.
