MPH Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 With a blowtorch. Use a cheese grater. And lots of salt.
Guest MattP Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 Finally are you really saying that this is a sexual preference, and that this sick fvck looks at babies the same way you or I look at women? Possibly. I don't think any of us are the same and every person will be attracted by different things. I am certain there are adults out there that have sexual attractions to dogs, cats, babies, sheeps, infants, pensioners, the dead and whatever else. I can't even begin to comprehend what the human mind can do, all I am interesting in is making sure a person who commits this act can never ever do it again. Only one way we can do that but that makes me 'uncivilised and backwards' apparantly. Whereas the people who let out Bulgers killers to search out more child porn and watch Glitter swan across the world to abuse more children are 'modern, progressive and forward thinking' What a fcuking moral sewer of a World we live in. You really have to wonder what the real motives of these people are when you see just how many people appear to be at it.
Captain... Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 In that case why do they not look at pictures of weak, small women being raped, etc? Why only kids? And you're assuming the only indecent pictures of children paedos like are those of them being abused. I'm pretty sure that's not true. It's too general to assume it's all about power and that no adults just fancy kids. If paedos got off on pictures of kids not being abused they would spend their time wanking to cbbc not downloading explicit images of abuse. We are not talking about finding pictures of a 15 year old Hannah Montana in a skimpy outfit arousing, we are talking about raping a baby.

That's a ridiculous analogy, thats like saying if someone is attracted to Women they will wank over Loose Women instead of Porn. In fact it emphasises my point what you have just said, the fact they don't do that and seek out sexual imagery shows they need the sexual side of it which shows exactly the same reason why us normal folk wank to xvideos rather than normal TV.

I agree that we should make sure that he and others can never commit such an act again, in whatever way possibly and if used correctly I would support the use of chemical castration, if it was proven to help. There is a step before that which is identifying people that are likely to abuse children, whether it is a genetic cause or as a result of abuse as a child, or a result of taking far too many class A drugs, being a rock star and losing touch with reality. I don't know and I don't really fancy doing the research. But just identifying and punishing abusers after they have abused is too late for me.

No way will be able to identify people who do this and even if you could you arent exactly going to be able to lock them up before you have done anything will you?

There is a sexual side to it, but it is a sexual perversion not a sexual preference, it is categorised along with rape, bestiality and abuse, not sexuality. That is not my opinion, that is how it is categorised by the APA and other institutes (I'm using APA as that is what a quick google came up with and I'm at work so I'm not going to google such things on my work laptop). What he has done has nothing in relation to what I and other normal people do in a lonely hotel room with free WiFi. Agree in principle but an impossible task it seems. No way will be able to identify people who do this and even if you could you arent exactly going to be able to lock them up before you have done anything will you? No but you can monitor them and give them therapy and try and stop them before a child gets hurt.
Guest MattP Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 No but you can monitor them and give them therapy and try and stop them before a child gets hurt. And I can just imagine how successful that would be given our monitoring of the Bradford four and Lee Rigby's murderers.
Captain... Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 And I can just imagine how successful that would be given our monitoring of the Bradford four and Lee Rigby's murderers. If it prevents one child from being abused then it would be worth it, the problem with prevention measures is you never know how successful they are because you can't measure what hasn't happened. But for 1 Lee Rigby there have been numerous incidents of plots being prevented. The reason that one got through the net was the sheer brutality and simplicity of it. But that is off the point. My point is and has been, that what he has done is not through sexual preference, and his sickness cannot be compared to heterosexuality and homosexuality.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree on that. You say if something prevents one child being abused its worth it? Surely if you believe that we should be keeping this guy at best in prison for life and at worst be putting him down? I mean, surely thats worth it if it saves one child being abused, and judging by the % rate of repeat offenders when it comes to Sexual offfences, that's highly likely.
Captain... Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 Well we'll have to agree to disagree on that. You're not disagreeing with me Matt, you are disagreeing with American Psychiatric Association. You say if something prevents one child being abused its worth it? I do agree, that was never my point.
Guest MattP Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 You're not disagreeing with me Matt, you are disagreeing with American Psychiatric Association. No problem, over time all sorts of psychiatric studies have changed opinions on all sorts of different things.
South fox Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 I assume he'll get 5 years in prison? and the rest it'll be nearer 10 to 15 years
Jimothy Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 How unfortunate is THIS? I feel sorry for H from Steps, not because people are confusing him with the other Ian Watkins, but because he was in Steps.
marko Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 How unfortunate is THIS? Ouch! The folks at ITV will be having a whip-round to pay for the libel damages.
Jimothy Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 Ouch! The folks at ITV will be having a whip-round to pay for the libel damages. Apparently it was E! Online that posted a picture of him next to the story, think itv are just reporting the story about H getting abused on twitter.
Nick Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 What a sick and twisted b****** Yeah but being in 'Steps' he never had a chance really.
Guest MattP Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 Yeah but being in 'Steps' he never had a chance really. lol
GingerrrFox Posted 27 November 2013 Posted 27 November 2013 He'll be alright unfortunately because he'll be protected and go on the nonce wing with all the other rapist and paedo scum. The only way paedos get done in prison these days is if they are locked up with a rapist who has some form of morals or he does himself away. Sick ****. They should be castrated. Tells you everything you need to know about this country when nonce ***** do less time in prison than drug dealers. Both bad but ask any decent person which is worse and they will say paedos every time.
davieG Posted 28 November 2013 Posted 28 November 2013 Peaches Geldof's Ian Watkins tweet could be investigated Peaches Geldof could face a criminal investigation after naming on Twitter two women who let their babies be abused by singer Ian Watkins. Lostprophets frontman, Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, admitted the attempted rape of a baby on Tuesday. Publishing details which might identify the babies is a criminal offence, the Attorney General's Office said. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25145096
NewburyFox Posted 28 November 2013 Posted 28 November 2013 Could? She will get done for that, as it infringes on the baby's right to anonymity.
Finnegan Posted 29 November 2013 Posted 29 November 2013 What a ****ing attention seeking ****. That's absolutely retarded. The women weren't named for a reason. They might be scum of the earth but they're going to be convicted, they're all guilty as shit, everyone inside is going to know what they've done, what's the point other than Peaches ****ing Geldoff using the most sickening case of child abuse in years to remind people she exists?
