Alexikokopops Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Something about this year has left me feeling magnificently Christmassy. I think it's the Kinder advent calendar. Anyone got the old mistletoe belt buckle on tonight? Merry Christmas. The only time of year you can get away with calling groups of three lady strangers ho's. Next time you pass a group of three ho's throw out a Ho Ho Ho and walk off chuckling. None of them will take offense. From my experience it only serves to cheer them up. Haaaaahahahahaha I love you Happy Newtonmas Happy Cookmas works better and, given his magnificent performance on the continent I'd argue he's done as much for England (at least) as Newton ever did...
skinnydipper Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Happy Cookmas works better and, given his magnificent performance on the continent I'd argue he's done as much for England (at least) as Newton ever did... But which Cook is best? Alex, Peter, Captain James, Roger or Thomas? For me Thomas has done the most for promoting British culture on the continent. I know that were he alive today the Queen would have shown her gratitude with a knighthood for his colonial endeavours in Magaluf, Malia and Kavos. Anyway, I'm dedicating my seasonal wishes to our country's greatest living Englishman. Merry Wesmorganmas everyone.
Zingari Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Nigella is the best cook Happy Nigellamas Ample portions for all
BunkMoreland Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 In the spirit of foxestalk in 2012 I would like to wish everyone happy holidays, but feel I should add the express caveat that anyone who wishes not to be happy or anyone who is not taking a holiday need not take my greetings as an attempt to impose my culture and lifestyle upon their own. Frankly I am somewhat disturbed by the liberal use of the word "christmas" in this thread as it will surely offend some members who do not celebrate Christmas for whatever reason. The use of the term will certainly be oppressive to those who wish to enjoy the forum in the next few weeks without having a particular religious celebration rammed down their throats. I would ask people tone down their celebrations and perhaps better not to make them public at all. At the very least please use "happy holidays" as a greeting.

I take offence at the term "holiday" :xmasangry: It derives from "holy day" and i don't want religious views spoiling my Saturnalian celebratory mood!

I had no idea. I'm sorry. I suppose even using English as a medium through which to express wishes is pretty damn offensive. I know there are different forms of numbers, but a numerical greeting could well be the answer. I propose "2766 001 42229"

The Doctor Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 Happy Cookmas works better and, given his magnificent performance on the continent I'd argue he's done as much for England (at least) as Newton ever did... Yeah, but Newtonmas is actually a thing: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Newtonmas
