Legend_in_blue Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Can't stand Vettel. Cannot stand him. Has a pop at Max at the back, you little cry baby and then ignores his instructions. Numpty. He just doesn't like it when it doesn't go his way.

ADK Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 I think Vettel was more than justified in overtaking Webber, he's clearly a quicker driver at this stage of their careers. It would be daft for Red Bull to miss out on a WDC because they kept Vettel behind a slower car. If it were Ferrari i highly doubt Alonso gets told not to overtake Massa. As for Mercedes, i think they should have given the instruction to Hamilton to allow Rosberg past early in the last stint with the explanation that he needed to save fuel. Rosberg may have challenged Webber late on.
Guest shearfox Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 I'm glad Vettel disobeyed his team, made for a very exciting moment in the race... I believe only one other driver would have done the same and that is Schumacher. Would have been better if Vettel had collided with Webber though, would have been very interesting to see what the team would have done. Not sure why Mercedes didn't allow Rosberg to pass Hamilton, I don't think it was down to them seeing Hamilton as the number one driver though, it was possibly more down to them messing Hamiltons fuel load up and didn't want their mistake to cost him a podium finish.
foxfanazer Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Great Grand Prix today. Good on Vettel for passing webber, exciting stuff. So funny Hamilton driving into the Mclaren pit
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 If I had been Webber I'd have cracked my 2nd place trophy round the back of Vettel's head. Ignoring team orders on the 2nd race of the season... no one's going to be doing him any favours for the rest of the season. What happens if he needs to pass Webber to get enough points for the championship in the last race of the season?
acooling08 Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Sometimes you have to be a cvnt to win. Schumacher proved that, and now Vettel is following suit. The sausage sucking leather short wearing zepplin driving hun twat.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Today put me off the sport abit to be honest. The first race was boring and today the teams just tried to crawl to the finish line and avoid any sort of excitement whatsoever. I completely understand why the teams would do this but it surely takes away the main appeal for the sport!
isaidno Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 I don't get why Pirelli have made tyres that only last for a handful of laps.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 During the Australian GP BBC coverage, I think was Coulthard, said that it was deliberate to make races more interesting. Certainly more pit-stops.
Amin Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 That has to be the most depressing podium ever. I wonder were this leaves Webber? He now knows for certain that he can't trust Vettel, so will he now refuse to help Vettel in the future? It could get very interesting if Webber needs to move over for Vettel to win the championship in the last race! As for Mercedes, i'm not sure why they kept Rosberg behind. Looking at the gap to Red Bull at the end, I reckon Rosberg could have caught Webber for 2nd.

I'm sure if there was a challenge from Mercedes then he'd have stepped it up and stretched the gap. Brawn's no idiot.

If Mercedes had allowed Rosberg to challenge them he could have made something happen.

isaidno Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 There's a documentary about f1 in the 50's on BBC 4 now
FoxesAreBlue Posted 26 March 2013 Author Posted 26 March 2013 Buffer I missed it, BBC do some quality F1 documentaries. This is a job for iplayer!

So much cheaper than Silverstone. I think Silverstone is one of the most expensive GP's. I think I heard that you could get general admission tickets for the Malaysia weekend for £12.
isaidno Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 There was something on the bbc website last week, Silverstone is the 3rd most expensive in the world. Malaysia cost me £23 !
Fox in the North Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 So tempted to go to the spanish grand prix but it's expensive a poor student like me xD
Amin Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 It looks certain that we are going to have a warm and dry weekend for the Grand Prix. Hopefully we will start to get an idea of the relative qualifying and race pace of the front running cars.
