Finnegan Posted 13 March 2013 Author Posted 13 March 2013 Think it's an unfair comparison, people lost family members in those conflicts with Argies and the Irish. That can effect emotions to different level than a few minors being laid off. Firstly, I'd imagine a very tiny percentage of the people with an axe to grind were those to love family members, that's a pretty tenuous excuse. Secondly, significantly, the South Wales coal field completely lost it's purpose. Entire communities were devastated, I don't think you can play down the impact of that. You go to places like the RCT today and the scars of it are still everywhere. You're talking about towns and villages that only existed because of coal.
notnow john Posted 14 March 2013 Posted 14 March 2013 Tom Croft recalled to start against Wales, boost for the line out. Could it be a tactical kicking game?
Finnegan Posted 14 March 2013 Author Posted 14 March 2013 It will be a tactical kicking game. Croft is a good ball carrier though as well if he's properly fit.
notnow john Posted 14 March 2013 Posted 14 March 2013 He is a special player when fully fit but we do seem to be rushing him back.
Finnegan Posted 14 March 2013 Author Posted 14 March 2013 He is a special player when fully fit but we do seem to be rushing him back. Yeah, I'm not sure I'd be overly impressed if I was a coach or physio at the Tigers.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Ireland are ****ing useless It's not been great but the level of injuries is just absolutely staggering. To have played sixty odd minutes almost with a flanker in the backs because you've run out of backs is just unprecedented.
Guest Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 So many injuries points to poor conditioning or a training weakness. Most injuries are unlucky but if 1 team has so many more than the others it points to other problems. Italy thoroughly desereved the Win. Paressi must be in consideration for the best player in Europe at the moment.
Benji Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Love to see the anthems - can just see how pumped up players are when they're singing along with tears in their eye. Come on England.
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Come on England, get disciplined. Throwing away too many good positions through stupid infringements already.
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Intense stuff this now. Do wish Referee Walsh would take his SH hat off and let the game flow a bit more though. Edit: And given how Shane Williams has been in the commentary box for the Beeb today Brian Moore's pro-England bias has been totally cancelled out. Not even making an effort to be impartial.

It's the chronic indiscipline, constant poor choices at crucial moments, lacklustre performances and lack of intensity that I can't forgive.
Tielemans63 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 You can't win a game when you're getting dicked so badly in the scrum surely?
purpleronnie Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 You can't win a game when you're getting dicked so badly in the scrum surely? I guess moose was right.
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 OK Walsh, now you're just being a cvnt at the scrumdown.
Ross-Kemp Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Game over. Try for Wales. Conversion missed, 17-3.
Guest Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 got City on one TV, England on the other. neither going well but England still look to have more chance than City
Guest Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 and when is lancaster going to get his coaches son off and flood on. I thought he was supposed to be a pressure kicker
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 England ill-discipline + Wales raising their game specifically for the England games as usual = Only one result. Been the better, more sturdy team throughout.
pSinatra Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Don't know what's more embarrassing? Leicester or England? Both need to grow a pair!!
