Tielemans63 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Wales have been awesome. It helps that England have been utterly pathetic in the second half.
Super_horns Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Oh well..hopefully the cricket will be won and Hamilton or Button can win the Grand Prix for some english sucess.
Tielemans63 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 What does Alex Goode offer to the England team? Agreed - Foden can make something happen. Goode is very reliable under the high ball but that's about it. Must be one of the most predictable full backs going.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 BREAD OF HEAAAAVEN! BREEEEAAAAAAD OF HEAAAVEN! FEEEEEEEEEEEED ME TIL I WANT NO MOOOOOOOORE! FEEEED MEEEEE TTIIIILLL IIII WAAAANT, NO, MOOOOOOORE!
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 I look forward to your humiliation at the weekend. And it's all gone quiet, all gone quiet, all gone quiet over there!!!
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Well done Finn, sort of saw this coming really. Great win. After all, the other Home Nations always raise their game against England because that's the scalp they really want - everything else is secondary.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Yeah we didn't give a shit about winning the Championship yet again, we just wanted to **** the English.
Tielemans63 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Ireland losing for the first time against Italy England getting destroyed by the Welsh City giving the game to the Sheep-shaggers Forest winning late on to leave our playoff chances looking shaky Not been a great sporting weekend so far.

Shouldn't that one at least delight you?
leicsmac Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Yeah we didn't give a shit about winning the Championship yet again, we just wanted to **** the English. Yep, that's right. It just so happened that this time those two things were concurrent. But in all fairness - we weren't at the races today, and that's fatal against a Wales side backed by a fantastic home crowd and massively up for it. We needed to be at our best or we'd get punished, and that's exactly what happened.
RonnieTodger Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Days like this make we wonder why I love sport, regarding England and Leicester. Both utterly hopeless today. Fair play Wales though, embarrassed us.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Look, as Guscott just said, Wales are the better side on paper. More caps, more experience, just simply better players. Not only that but England were coming away from home to play a side that needed to score points to seal the championship. A side that could and should, but for fourty minutes early doors, have been playing for a Grand Slam themselves. England came in as bookmakers favourites but never, ever should have been. This is a very, very young side who ground out some shakey wins against a poor France and - as well as they've played by their own standards - a poor Italy. One try (and a try that should have been illegal at that) since the Scotland game says a lot, so do the chances butchered against Italy. There's big cause for optimism for England in 2015 and beyond that. These guys are going to be together for a long time and if the RFU back Lancaster, he's exactly the sort of guy to build a dynasty for you and something that will be formidable in years to come. But you can't fall in to the trap of piling on the pressure and expecting Six Nations wins every season. Today was a lesson and a big one, they've got to grow and learn from that, the All Blacks came proved there's talent there but it's got to be backed up with the right psychology. Only problem for you lot, really, looking forward is that we're a very young side too - with about four hundred more caps.

Guest Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 And it's all gone quiet, all gone quiet, all gone quiet over there!!! Not at all. I already said that the best team won. Wales were up for it, bouyed by the crowd and England were naive. At least it showed up the need for a more experienced leader and a kicker who has some calm under pressure. Defence has gradually deteriorated throughout the tournament and there is no leadership.

Sometimes being a sports fan is terrible and depressing. today is one of those days. Hope France lose! Days like this make we wonder why I love sport, regarding England and Leicester. Yeah, it would have made a big difference if you'd have lost 30 - 9 instead. Farrell didn't do much wrong today and Flood was no better when he came on. In fact, Farrell could and perhaps should have had a couple of assists if England's backs could hold the ball. There's just absolutely very little you can do as a half-back when your pack is getting so heftily munched and you're pretty much permanently on the back foot.
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Smashed... Amazing performance from the Welsh team and fans.
Tielemans63 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Shouldn't that one at least delight you? Irish father, English mother - so I'm in the unusual position of supporting two national teams who hate each other! I still have both a British and an Irish passport.

England were poor , Wales were more imaginative, ref was bent, pitch was excellent.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Ref wasn't bent, your tight five were just ****ing awful. You'd know he was bent because Moore would have been screaming it every five minutes.

He missed two kicks and his defense was poor. For the second try he started to sprint about 5 strides to late. He had a very poor performance today.

The ref was pretty crap but that didn't make enough difference. Really don't understand why it isn't 6 nations refs for all 6 nations games. Refs who watch and ref European rugby week in week out.

Moore daren't say anything that might be perceived as pro English these days,or he'll be back in the wastelands of Talksport.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Moore daren't say anything that might be perceived as pro English these days,or he'll be back in the wastelands of Talksport. Is this irony?
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Author Posted 16 March 2013 Really don't understand why it isn't 6 nations refs for all 6 nations games. I prefer having Southern hemisphere refs. They do have a slightly different interpretation of the rules occasionally but you can't possibly have impartial Northern Hemisphere refs in the 6N. The only problem you have is that the whole rugby world hates the English so you're never going to get some entirely unbiased hahaha!
