It's a shame because before Rahm went to LIV I was a big fan.

Typically I'd be rooting for him now being European but don't reckon I'll be the slightest bit arsed if he wins.

Blokes a sell out and he knows it.

Seems to be losing it now.

It’s just another horrible part of the LIV experience isn’t it

Cannot believe it’s got to a point that I’d be more happy to see the American world number one beat a former European Ryder Cup hero in Rahm

Was my favourite player to watch just a couple of years back, now I’d be happy to see him never pull on the Navy and White colours again

Glad to hear there's something (LIV) more detestable than American golfers

Don't be like that mate!

It was only a bit of Bryson bashing at the Masters on my part (I think the bloke is false and try's too hard to be popular)

Some American golfers are sound as a pound. Personally, I quite like Spieth, JT, Homa, Finau, Harman, Fowler, Kisner and many others.

There's a few nobs (mainly the LIV lot) but there's equally a few European nobs - Hatton and Sergio spring to mind (LIV too coincidentally)

I was hoping the winking emoji would show I'm not all that serious, my friend.  An attempt at humor (and if a Canadian can get the joke, so can a Brit).

FWIW, I'd bet a few bucks that many top touring pros (deChambeau on the list) are indeed knobs.  But I'll never meet one personally, and wouldn't be in a hurry to.

Scheffler hasn't left much doubt about who the best player is at this moment in time eh.

That's what it takes to win majors.

Scottie being Scottie.

Everyone else playing for 2nd right now.

Turned off when he got the 12th, can't fault him as he's a league above everyone else at the moment.  Does make it a tad dull though.

Forest Hill have completely stopped taking bookings for visitors 👀 👀

No idea what's going on there tbh. Played as a visitor from time to time as I'm not far away but it's gone really downhill. Spending money on a gym, mini golf course, loads of local advertising, but the bunkers were full of weeds and the tee boxes were completely bare. Was a shambles considering they're now asking for £40 in the day (used to rock up after 5 for the £17 round only).

Edit. And the pro moved to Kirby and the shop was absolutely gutted when I last went too.

Yep, Martin’s at Kirby now.

My experience last year was the same as yours RE the bunkers

Did you hear how they were asking for emergency investments with a promise on 10% return within 12 months, as they need to raise £70k for emergency irrigation repairs.

You know it’s a badly run club when they don’t have that amount of surplus knocking around for such emergencies

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s about to go pop

Didn't know that but hardly surprised. Friend is a member who said they were in trouble last year but had meant to turn a corner.

Even in the summer the 7th green was a squelching bog. Guess they were hit hard with last year's downpours as it really suffers when wet.

It was the first "proper" course I played at when growing up, so even though it's fairly middle of the road, I really wish them well. If it wasn't for me moving out of Markfield and now being within a stones throw of Lingdale, where I now play, I'd probably be there most weekends still. The driving range and course has been generally busy whenever I've been so fingers crossed they get through.

I have the screenshot of the email sent to members but it’s too large to upload

Likewise, it’s the first course I played regularly, just after lockdown, but it’s fallen off a cliff even in that short time

Have they recently changed their name? Become Ltd only recently perhaps?

I have little sympathy for them as a company. Took their eye off the ball big time in terms of the golf course no longer being the main draw to the place. It’s merely a bit on the side that accompanies the driving range, which, as you say, is always busy. That’s why they shut the 10th hole when the driving range net broke rather than close the driving range 😂

Suddenly the half built mini golf at the back isn't looking to clever...
