What a disgrace this has been for the U.S. (my native country) in every respect. The performance obviously. The crowd behavior, obviously. But also the PGA of America for allowing both those things to happen. Bradley has been another catastrophic choice as captain, and they've done nothing to try and control the ugliness of the environment. It's reflective of the leadership in the country and where American society is, and is going. And that's a f***ing depressing proposition.

Luke Donald should get some caps quickly made for the team with MALA (Make America Lose Again) on them.

 

My opinion of Americans is at an all time low.

I could point out that  the majority of Americans didn't and don't want this. And about how out of whack things are around the world, including most European countries. Society is bottoming out all over. But unfortunately America's political system is what it is, it's the ones making homophobic taunts on Long Island who make the most noise, and that's the face America presents to the world. It's the worst I've ever seen it and I see obvious path to it getting better. But in terms of golf, the Ryder Cup ought to look at taking administration of the 2029 even out of the PGA's hands and giving it to a neutral body, or just running it themselves.

I'm not a golf fan in the slightest but I love the atmosphere of the Ryder cup.

Especially  when the yanks get spanked after making themselves look like fecking idiots in the crowd.

Really are tools of the highest order, mind you when you see their president it's no suprise!!!

I don't usually like the matches on American soil as the crowd are so jingoistic full of vitriol and extremely unsporting. 

 

This years been great as the Europeans have absolutely stuck it to them. 

 

America should be more than embarrassed by the choice of their captain, selections and god damn awful crowd. 

 

I feel for Beamer who's an absolute gem of a man being associated with those complete twats.

To support your players when they make a good shot fine but to abuse the other team when they are about to play etc is just yobbish. Almost that they can't accept you need to have an opponent to play otherwise there is no game.

Cantlay against Aberg is a bit of a result too I think. I think his confidence is shot. May as well be up against one of their big players as Aberg is a gimme for USA regardless I think

I think they know exactly where it is.

 

Keegan Bradley has got it all wrong. They've tried to foster an intimidating atmosphere but it's not worked and has only fired up the European lads more. The more they've tried to be intimidating, the better the Europeans have played. Now their frustrations have turned that from intimidation to just down right nasty.

 

I've just seen a clip of a journalist asking about if he thinks he's played a part in the atmosphere and the response was just slopey shoulders which is disappointing. He had the opportunity to point out that everything about last night was unacceptable and he didn't take it. Instead opting to have a pop at the journalist.

That's another thing they're strong at - doubling down on inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour.
