5waller5 Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 I think they should fine Stringer every time he asks a question which he then immediately answers himself. His interviews are like those generation game skits where they'd get the contestants to read the wrong lines off the auto cue. yeah they are .... I'm not sure Stringer would earn anything if he was fined for crap questions - so seems fair enough!
scottthefox Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 The irony is that we drop a place, and we weren't even playing a league game Think you need to look irony up in the dictionary.....
fleckneymike Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 If it was 'that good' then yes, you all need a badge of honour to say "I was there!". I don't think many will begrudge you that. If we were to describe the things that happened people wouldn't believe you. Honestly it was that bad. You'd swear Nugent had never seen a football before let alone played the game. The skill with which Konchesky managed to take neither man or ball when 'tackling' Scannel was amazing and when Futacs swang and missed at a tap in you half expected his legs to wrap around themselves in a cork screw fashion like you see in Bugs Bunny cartoons.
I blame Wellens Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 So many things to say but if you can't say anything nice... ... In saying that can someone please tell me what the bloody hell is Konch doing in the team? Nigel? Anyone? What does he do well? Anything? Please? I can even understand why Wellens and Futacs played today. Granted they were as welcome as a Findus lasagne but I could understand why Nigel did it but Konch?
buzzy Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 pearson does not have a plan b or c . i for one said we have no decent 3rd striker at club since our friend beckford was loaned out. even a lazy beckford his better than futacs , waghorn and vardy . get someone on loan because we are not good enough to go up . slag me off i just dont give a **** right know
gazzer Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 Like high plains drifter half our town is red and the village idiots are helping him paint. Big splash with a horsehair brush over flair. Oldest cup competition in the world? Splat! Loads of tv revenue for a 5th round tie? Don't need it mate we're so loaded. Yay
LCFC BEAST Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 I feel sorry for Gallagher, he tried so hard tonight and nothing payed off for him. Him, Keane, Knockaert and Kasper seemed the only ones to play with a bit of urgency towards the end. As for Wellens, he did nothing wrong but it shows that he can't make a difference at this level anymore. The thing that confused me the most was taking off Futacs and Nugent for 2 players who have no ariel ability whatsoever. It was obvious we weren't going to score from the middle and our only way was through crosses or set pieces. Two poor performances in the space of 4 days, need to get our act together and get back to our winning ways.
gazzer Posted 12 February 2013 Posted 12 February 2013 On the other hand if all conspiracy theories are wrong and we actually tried to win the last two matches then we are truly are in the doodoo
gazzer Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Wouldn't be much money in a worldwide televised fa cup game anyway, surely?
Blueforever Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Good...we obviously don't have the strength in depth in the squad for cup and league success. All teams go through some poor results, this is the Championship. We were lucky against Wolves and Middlesborough to get away with wins and these results have been coming for a few weeks. a good performance against Charlton and we'll be back on it.
Langley Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Just got home. Firstly I will say that I love Leicester city. Two and a half hours there and two and a half back is a home game for me. Was not impressed with our performance. Nuge was off all game. Futacs didn't win the first ball. Gally for some parts had a good game. He can sure cross a ball but most of his passes were to the side or backwards. Wellens did some good closing down. Morgan/keane outstanding. Kasper should have saved that free kick but I think the Denmark game messed with his confidence. How de lat & konch let scannell beat then BOTH is beyond me. Kasper was the most animated player on the pitch. Really looks like he cares. Lets hope this is our blip and if so it's disappointing that were out of the cup but promotion is the big one.
gazzer Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Keep painting. Here's a brush and some red paint
accessory Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Look at the positive Game in hand over Hull ...until you realise where that game in hand is. On the evidence of the last few games, there's zero hope of getting a win there.
Terrier Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Least this time i left the KP with a smile last night. I expected it to go to extra time and possibly penalties.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 pearson does not have a plan b or c . i for one said we have no decent 3rd striker at club since our friend beckford was loaned out. even a lazy beckford his better than futacs , waghorn and vardy . get someone on loan because we are not good enough to go up . slag me off i just dont give a **** right know He is if we wants to be here, but he doesn't. He wants to be guaranteed first choice and he won't be here. If he's gonna sulk about it, there's no point him being around. On a general note, no one really covered themselves in glory yesterday. Huddersfield were organised well but the defending for their 2nd goal was abysmal. Flimsy effort by Konchesky to tackle and Matty James too should have done better. I can see why James didn't play at Posh tbh, looked off the pace and sluggish - definitely not 100%. For all the possession we had, we never looked like creating anything. Time to re-group and re-focus for the league campaign. I trust NP to bang a few heads together and sort this out.
Happy Fox Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 2 games in hand over Hull because they play at the weekend.
Babylon Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Least this time i left the KP with a smile last night. I expected it to go to extra time and possibly penalties. I don't think I'd even be smiling if we won the game... utter turgid shite. Hope you are proud of yourself that your team took part in probably the worst game of football ever known to man.
Leicester Piggott Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Fair play to Huddersfield though, dragged us down to their level and beat us.
Babylon Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 pearson does not have a plan b or c . i for one said we have no decent 3rd striker at club since our friend beckford was loaned out. even a lazy beckford his better than futacs , waghorn and vardy . get someone on loan because we are not good enough to go up . slag me off i just dont give a **** right know Vardy has still scored more league goals than Beckford did last year. Which says a lot about Beckford.

Terrier Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Fallen out with Pearson This is how we won then, that wood didn't play
MrSpaM Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Slightly shocked at the amount of abuse Futacs is getting. Nuge wasnt much better last night and nobodies saying he should never play for us again. Futacs is only 22 ffs give the guy a chance! Poor result last night anyway, pretty much the whole team was to blame. Build up play was pedestrian at best. Not too worried because I know we can play much better than that, didnt even get out of first gear last night.
ArfieldGood Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Still 10 - 4 overall to you lot this season!
Reynard Bleu Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Fortunately only watched the game on a live stream, if I had had to pay i would have been even more disappointed. Ineffectual performance, we were not direct enough and we did not do the simple things well enough. Awful game to watch. I thought we really missed Drinkwater, Wellens is no substitute in my opinion. We need to take care, losing two on the bounce can make players twitchy. Good luck to Huddersfield.
