jerakin Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I enjoyed some of the scenes in the St Trinian's films Actually, me too.
Haydos Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 It's almost like rugby union's become the fashionable sport to be into but come the next World Cup they'll all suddenly be into football. Or people are getting sick of Football? The diving, the preening cvnts that play it, how overpaid even the most average players are, the Sky take over, the poor attendances, the rich owners that tend to not give a shit about the club. They're realising that Rugby is a real 'sport' where players compete because they love the game, put their bodies on the line and have an actual passion to win the game.
Finnegan Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 The whole sport is designed as a vehicle through which closet gays can get their fix of man-on-man action without actually having to admit that they are gay. It's then covered up with this whole hardcore masculine bravado, i mean look how big and strong i am, i'm all man, i can't possibly be gay. Yes we do give each others penises nicknames and spend hours in the changing room looking at each other naked, that's just because we're sexually-secure. Regularly behaving like a gay and enjoying gay activities doesn't make me gay. Most of the fans are gays. They only watch it because they like watching big and strong men run around in tight shirts. Have you ever heard rugby fans talking about rugby? It's like hearing people discussing gay porn. "Oh god he's so big, he's really really big, like tall and with wide shoulders and those big thick thighs of his, oh yes i really like watching him play". Then the game itself. The scrum: everyone bend over, stick your hands up each others arses, both teams do the same, and then ram into each other as hard as you can. After you've done this and nothing whatsoever has been achieved, you can all fall into a heap. A nice heap of big sweaty men. Lineouts: so we throw the ball in and the highest jumper gets it, right? No way, not gay enough, how about you put your hand up his arse and ram him into the air, that'll do it. Game restart: can i just kick the ball or throw it? No way, not gay enough, how about you bend the **** over and touch the ball on the floor first, achieving absolutely nothing except to give everyone a good look at your arse, then you can do whatever you want with it You really are going to have to come out of the closet eventually.

Because its football players who i see kissing each other and smacking each other on the bottom....
gazzer Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 When I attended Bristol University (many years ago) on Intra-Mural Wednesdays we were generally treated in the Student Union Bar to naked rugby players standing on tables sticking carrots up each other's arses. I don't think there's much doubt about it. Although you can drink in your seat so I'm considering getting a Tigers season ticket next season instead of KingPower, especially if Pearson stays.
Daggers Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Thomas, Gordon, Edward, Henry, the Fat Controller...you fvckers took one Hell of a beating.
Johnny Cash Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Why can you not like both sports and accept their values and what they bring to the supporter. For me, I like the hostile football atmosphere but being able to sit next to a rival rugby fan with a pint during the game is also great. The intensity of a football match at the business end of the season is great and the passion from a rugby player during a game is epic. Its what sport is all about. Rugby players are genuine in their play and as players and you cannot hide on a rugby pitch. Thats why i give rugby the edge as a specatcle. This from a lcfc st holder. Those who harp on about players being gay, whats your dad up to tonight? Some things are too close to home so you lash out.

BoneDog Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Rugby is a silly sport for childish adults who haven't grown out of pylons. I have an Oxbridge psychology degree so I know what I'm talking about. They say things like, "Ooooooh let's all rub our cheek bristles on the opponents faces in the scrum - that'll make them mad". Glorified netball.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Don't they play with odd shaped balls . . . . .
Vlad the Fox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Don't they play with odd shaped balls . . . . . Yes, but that's because of all the squeezing that goes on in the scrum.

You are clearly a very subtle guy!! Oh yeah, still hate Rugby FACT -All rugby fans went to private school and vote Tory
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 The attitude of the players i.e. the respect they show the ref is miles better in Rugby Rugby players are a far harder bunch than football players - the sport is pretty brutal We've won the world cup in Rugby and been to another final - i.e. the golden generation actually realised their potential. English football players bottle it. I'm going to watch one game on the laptop and one on the TV It's much harder to win the World Cup in football.
adam1 Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 With a very important game this afternoon(season defining) for city, I hate the fact that that awful egg chasing game gets any coverage in the media. With 1456% greater total attendances in Britain for football (official made up stat) why do we have to tolerate this rubbish? FACT kids who can't play football play rugby, they grow up into slow posh boys who feel they are actually sportsmen. FACT rugby fans wear green waxed jackets and green wellies (they should be shot for this Fashion Faux Pas) FACT female rugby fans look like the male players. FACT tigers fans all live in posh country homes and go shooting oikes like us at the weekend. I don't mind them living in their own little world but I don't need to read about it in my paper or see it mentioned on Sky Sports News. I HATE RUGBY!! I don't have a season ticket at the KP because I spend a lot of Saturdays during the winter shooting. I wear green waxed jackets and green wellies. I don't think its a fashion faux pas. It's practical.
Bert Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 It's the snobbery of (some) fans and non-pro players that piss me off.
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Oh well done!!! (No sarcasm there, honest) Clearly you have sussed me, but read over these pages, it certainly entertained me. Oh and by the by, I do really hate Rugby and... FACT It is played by people who can't play football now I played football to an ok standard and got paid £20 for playing rugby a week,so that's buggered your FACT.However I would never ever think about paying to watch rugby union, really doesn't interest me,I would and have paid to watch rugby league.
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Rugby is for homosexuals. End of. Blimey,How is your season going?
