Sack him now!

Pearson is a disgrace, now having turned us into the laughing stock of the Championship.

Pathetic, inept, negative, and not fit to manage this club. The bullshit has to stop now. He and many of his players have no place at this club.

Just pack your bags push off Pearson.. Do us all a favour.

I think you will find that 17 teams as I type would love to be where we are right now. Hardly the laughing stock of the Championship

Even most of the anti-pearson fans have some intelligence and reasoning, but you're just a cretin!

The argument would be similar to NFP in league one :o that he inherited a championship standard squad of players!

Correct. Pearson then took that side to 5th in the Championship way above expectations. Micky Adams' Leicester side didn't stay in the Premier League, which is I guess what people were expecting at the time?

At what point are you going to realise that he is not going to be sacked now this season with 4 ****ING GAMES LEFT? In upper case to make sure you see. If he gets binned in the summer then so be it but to call for his head with 4 games to go is moronic. Get behind the team ffs!!

I was at the ground singing along for the whole 90 minutes. DON'T TELL ME TO GET BEHIDN THE TEAM ON A FORUM WHEN WE ARE SUFFERING THE WORST RUN IN LIVING MEMORY.

I've helped you out with capitals too.

I started watching around 10 years ago, hence the fact that it's the time frame I'm focusing on. It's not that I've had a quick search to see when we were last doing well, whilst I was obviously quite young I was watching ten years ago and think that I've got every right to discuss it just as you do.

I take advantage of stats sites to back-up the points I want to make about players, but I think it's unfair for you to say that I couldn't have a proper debate over these players in person when you've never met me. When these stats are readily available I think it'd be a bit foolish not to use them, but that doesn't mean that I'm helpless without them, at least I don't think that's the case. Don't see why you've felt the need to post your appraisal of me anyway, I've not tried to judge you based on a handful of posts on a football forum.

Maybe it's just me, but I took those remarks to be very light-hearted and largely designed to stop me being pedantic. There's nothing wrong with your stats, I'm sure you could teach me plenty about football. Apart from the fact that Pearson is doing a decent job right now. That's just plain wrong.

And the alternative is?...

Well, you've said I talk out of my arse 24/7 so you clearly have, and that'd be why I've said what I have, besides I am attempting to stand up for you for some reason (back handily I'll admit)

I wouldn't say way above expectations but about right because if you look at the likes of Southampton and Norwich who performed back to back promotions how was that achieved then?

With regards to Micky Adams I didn't expect us to stay in the prem we weren't good enough sadly but we did experience some memorable highlights that season, but overall we deserved to go down.

That's two teams. Countless others have gone up from League One and done nothing in the Championship. Those examples are not what you'd expect of a side going up, sure it's possible, but it's still way above expectations as our 5th placed finish was.

Are you saying that Pearson is the only football manager we can attract?? He's paid £800k a year, £1m bonus, has £10m + to spend, one of the best clubs in the division and supportive boards .... and yet you talk like we should accept this kind of rubbish because we have no choice!!!!!!!

No. Think before you type. Who are we going to get in with 4 games to go?

Posted

Is the manager doing enough to get the most out of his players?

If you think the answer is 'yes', then he may as well stay.

On a tactical level I don't think he is, so alternatives are the order of the day. He won't be here at the end of the season if we don't make 6th place. Even the most optimistic pro-Pearson follower must surely see that.

There are alternatives but not at this stage of the season unless the likes of MON or Di Matteo for example want to manage with 4 games to spare I think not and they probably want a clean slate i.e starting next season. Paying compensation for NP when we can get rid at the end of the season and not pay him a penny is probably what the Thais are planning on doing?.

The new manager.

The kind of foresight that's given us unparalleled levels of success in recent years.

FFS Get real.

We've got 4 games left.

One of which is in 4 days time, another of which is in 7.

You care about this club you get behind Pearson and give him his last throw.

At the end of it we can all say we've done right by him, the players, and the club, and given it a good season, and retain a bit of dignity as a club for once.

Whenever I read your posts I always go back and check mine to make sure I don't use the word 'but' so often.

Adams took an ageing side up and badly needed a decent transfer budget. He didn't get it and tried to sign experienced 'bargain' players. We were always close to survival and at one point would have been 5th had games ended in the 85th minute, when we started to concede all of our goals. Then there was 'La Manga', a few high profile fall-outs and we fell apart.

I blamed him more for failing to adequately restructure the squad in summer 2004, when there were parachute payments to spend. We had too many ancient players on short term contracts. But he remains the most recent manager to take us into the Premier, and on reflection a few funds might have given him the edge we needed to survive.

Equally a bit of investment might have given us the edge to go a step further in 2010. This time, though, there has been investment and it's beginning to look as if it wasn't wisely used. If we don't go up, then the advent of FFP may lead us to consider Pearson's second reign as nothing short of a disaster. Time will tell. But I can't confidently look upon Pearson as a better Leicester manager than Adams right now.

I don't think you can question my foresight .... I've been anti Pearson since day one. He should never have come back. The embarrassing form we are now on could and should have been stopped after 7 games not 12 and we'd have had a chance of play offs ..... But you keep defending NP and let's keep wasting money on seeing us lose or draw in the worst run in my memory of watching us for 30 odd years.

I'm surprised to hear anyone seriously talking about firing Pearson now. Before the international break it was a possibility, now I can't believe it is. On the other hand, no one can seriously have any complaints if it doesn't work out and he's gone come June.

Pretty sure it wont be statistical the worst run in 30 odd years.

Performance wise, it's far from the worst run I've seen in the last 10 never mind since I've supported us.

So struggling to see what your getting at besides caring more about hating Pearson than caring about the club.

I agree with you pal that Adams was a better manager than NP he did everything as a City manager I expected we were relegated but that is life he could of done things better to avoid that but he did a good job you cannot f**king doubt that with regards to NP the less said the better absolute disaster for the amount of money we have spent and the quality of our squad other managers envy yet we find ourselves in this position isn't good enough at all.

So if you care about the club you get behind the team for the last 4 games and talk about a new manager in the summer then surely? :dunno:
