Sack him now!

lol that genuinely made me laugh!

Rob Kelly. Oh dear.

So going back further ..... if we give first place to Levein, how long is this the second worst run in?? 12 years??

You seem to have forgotten to answer this question...

These two posts prove that you actually don't care about the job he does. You just dislike the man plain and simple.

Let me ask, did you want him sacked when we were second in the league? Did you want a man who appeared to be taking us in the right direction to me removed from the job?

Surely it would wise to give the new man in charge some games this season where he can evaluate the situation, I am aware pre season is the time to do it but to give him a headstart it may be wise to give him the remaining games of this season to analyse our problems the players he doesn't want etc to give us the best possible chance of promotion next season.

It would also give us a head start to recruit the new man before a few clubs get rid of their manager in the summer and there's ore choice of jobs available.

I said at the time that I didn't like the guy, but that the football we were playing in january could well change my mind. We played some lovely stuff and were ina great position .... So I was willing to admit i was wrong if it continued.

Are the Pearson lovers now willing to admit they are wrong now we are so woeful??

Over the many years of supporting LCFC I have been there, seen it, cheered and cried.

I have seen many managers come and go, so what now?

If this run of results had been at the beginning of this season NP would most probably have been sacked.

In all the years of watching them any manager on such a poor run of results has been sacked.

I know that in some of the games the players have been at fault and not the manager!

However, this still does not detract from the fact that taking so few points from so many games is unacceptable.

If we were to keep NP and start next season as we are ending this one would you want to keep him as manager, I think not.

The minute we fail to make a play off spot he should be sacked, irrespective of how many games are left.

The season for us will be over, no play offs or relegation worries, so getting rid would make little difference.

There would be no mad rush to find someone short term.

We could hopefully get a manager in place who could then build a team of winners!

Don't ask me who, because at this present moment there are very few candidates of merit.

If impatient fans had got their way in previous years, we'd have got rid of O'Neil... just saying, give the manager more time.

MON failed to make an instant impact and was nearly sacked for it ..... he then went on to build his side and the rest is history. It's very different to a man that inherits one of the richest squads in the league two points behind the play offs, assembles his own squad for 18 months and is a point outside the play offs with a game extra played.

He's gone backwards in 18 months.

Possibly the daftest post I've read recently..

MON started to turn it round in what? 12 games or so?

Pearson has had 18 months...

Try harder than that.

We have been in the bottom half of the form table since November, bottom two or three for the past 6 games and barely higher for the past 13. Since February began, Nigel has presided over a steady decline into relegation form. He has been manager for 18 months, has changed the team almost completely from Sven's era.

Sadly, although where we would end up was apparent to many when he came back, we have had to spend 18 months stagnating while virtually every quality player we might have had has either left or descended into the worst form of their career. We also have a number of players who would struggle to get into many form Championship teams.

Bolton are in the top 3 form wise since Christmas- shoud we not beat them on Tuesday I believe Nigel should accept he is not fit for purpose and resign. This is nothing to do with him as a man ( it is actually quite sad to see him going through this week after week).

No knee jerk here, just acceptance of the fact that he was never up to the job and this season has proved it - there should be enough quality for someone else who has a clue to put together a realistic challenge next season- but it shouldn't be Nige, he just cannot turn things around.

can't fault a word of this..

I don't think its a question of if he is going to be sacked anymore. It is a question of when. It really would not surprise me if the process of discretely finding a new manager had already been put into motion.

I think one of the most frustrating things about Pearsons likely failure to get us promoted, is that despite this league being highly competetive, it is still of poor quality, and this season really gave us as good a chance of success as we have had in a number of years.

The fact we were 2nd at the end of january, and have had such an alarming slump since, just adds to the frustration.

Despite some fans claiming it`s down to the players, and not down to Pearson, the fact remains, that as manager, it is his job to pick the team and get the best from the players, something he has failed to do since january.

This is not the minor blip, it is an absolutely shocking run, that can only really be rivalled by Peter Taylor, after our fa cup defeat to Wycombe.

A run of form incidentally, that carried on into the following season, and ultimately resulted in our relegation.

I said we should have got rid of Pearson after the Derby game, and i stand by that.

Whether a new manager would have turned our form around and got us into the play offs i don`t know, but we had nothing to lose, and probably more importantly, he would have had half a dozen games, to see the players, while playing under the pressure of challenging for the play offs, and a chance to see what they could do, and who he wanted to play for him next season and who he didn`t.

I think Pearson has done everything right in the past 2 games (other than persisting with Kane) IMO. If the players are going to bottle it under the pressure there is nothing he can do. The performances have been great though and because of this I still believe. Hopefully boro an Cardiff will keep us in touching distance.

If we sack him who would we get to replace him? MON? I think that MON would'nt come back to Leicester, He never goes back, so who else is there. There are four more games left and I believe that he should be given those four games to try and get into a play off position, If after the end of the season we are not there, then sack him and that way we will have a few weeks to look for another Manager and the summer for the new Manager to try and buy players. There is no point in sacking Pearson at this moment in time.

Except then, for taking off a midfielder and replacing him with a striker at 2-1 up, an ineffectual striker at that. Playing both Nugent and Wood out of position and basically dropping another 2 points at home. Very little wrong there. I mean, we nearly won right?

Can someone find me a manager that kept their job with a worse record than 1 win in 14. Pearson is going for a record.

Thought Mowbray at Boro but he's 1/11. Might be Paul Jewell in Derby's Premiership campaign, good company to be in Nige.

Both the manager and the players fault but the bucks stops with the manager and he can have no complaints if he is sacked sooner rather than later hopefully.

We dominated both brighton and birmingham, has numerous of chances and the players couldn't finish..
