theessexfox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 There were no excuses for some of the games in this run, but excuses tonight, seeing that doesn't make you in love with Pearson.
dnewty Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Very poor manager, his tactics are crap. Leading up to the nugent challenge birmingham get a free kick in there own half and our hole team goes and stands on the edge of the box inviting pressure as always. They have not got a clue how you play a game out and pearson is to blame for that.

theessexfox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Stick with him then. Whatever. Problem is most of us who can see the truth are starting not to care Tell me how not blaming him for tonight is anything but the truth.
gazzer Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 I thought a draw was fair. Both teams had some good spells but not enough quality to win it. The equaliser was unfortunate, but a result of a nervousness in the players which Pearson has not done enough to address in my opinion.
nickelbyfox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 I don't hate Pearson.. I was a big fan. AND tonight cannot be laid at Pearsons feet. We created enough chances to win and Nugent had a rush of blood to his bonce. BUT, this is our longest run without winning for 6 years. This surely gives cause for concern to even the most ardent Pearson fans. To still not discuss or consider this, I'm afraid is just misguided now. It won't wash anymore lads... Very good point! we are just bereft of confidence - nothing we can do now though but hope the two above us loose this weekend
Steam Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 I don't hate him. I'm just a Leicester city fan who wants the best for my team. Blackburn fans wanted Kean out when they were 2nd!!! If we were second I would happily take your criticism. But it's the blind faith that people like you put in a manager who has clearly Lost the plot that totally amazes me!! It isn't blind faith. I am just a realist. I know that what I say on here impacts no one, no one will listen or take any advice I give, its the way people are. So why give myself a hernia screaming for the manager to be sacked when it's pretty obvious to me that the players are letting the shirt down. With so few games left, the manager won't be changed so why not just rally round him for the remaining games. What's the worse that could happen? It might add a few years to your life as well.
john doe Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Stick with him then. Whatever. Problem is most of us who can see the truth are starting not to care how about last game at forest fancy dress big white trainers and clown wigs ?
ashwj Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Look resigned tonight, whether or not he is competent, we will need a new manager next year to add some impetus. I'm sure we can do much better but no point in sacking him now. May as well give him a chance to pull of some magic and still get us up!!
Tempwan Yierban Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 how about last game at forest fancy dress big white trainers and clown wigs ? You can. I wont go again whilst this Arrogant, obnoxious, stubborn, intransigent fool is in charge. Someone remind me of the definition of stupidity? Something about doing the same thing time and again and expecting different results?

Ha ha Leicester city fc have cost me a few years I think!!! Fortune favours the brave! Sack him now! He manages the players, he motivates ( allegedly ) them. Sorry, but I've seen post after post on here in the last 13 games blaming them players! Come on, he's the boss!
morris1234 Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Stick with him then. Whatever. Problem is most of us who can see the truth are starting not to care I like how your taking some sort of holy high ground on each of your posts. As if all your posts are correct regardless of ooo I dunno somebody arguing that point. As I said, do keep trying. There is a well thought out post somewhere. :-) deep down, put down the darts , take down the picture of Pearson, put on some trousers and turn the light on. nowwww breath :-) Better? Good evening

Seriously mate, we had enough clearcut chances to win that game 7-2. We would've won 2-1 if it wasn't for one of the most ludicrous mistakes you could ever see in a football match, parks or professional. Yes the run is very concerning but that game wasn't Pearson's fault. Also I cannot think of any realistic candidate that might replace him that we can be confident isn't gonna do another Sven. Who would you replace him with?
Mark_w Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 We can dream - why would an average Championship team invite a below average/league 1 manager to join them on a million pounds a year - weird shit happens If you think that the manager who took the Leicester side we had a few years ago to 5th and had Hull competing for a Play-Off position is a League One manager then you need your head testing. I know that's been fairly obvious for some time, but this is another nice bit of evidence.

I've got to agree with the Waghorn loving lad with nothing but counter arguments and internet statistics for opinions. If we're an average Championship club he's currently performing better than he should be. Upsetting tonight but, seems the players that got us into a good position are the ones letting us down which is the most frustrating thing about it.

Who would you replace him with? I thought I said it wasn't Pearson's fault tonight mate? No way... And who to replace Pearson with if that happens? I genuinely don't know. If we were going to do so, it should have been before the international break. I'd have gone for Adkins personally. I'd also like to see Lennon back at the club. But I think you're right. There's very few obvious candidates.

There's very few obvious candidates. So therefore with no real candidates, why are people saying sack him? Lennon leave Celtic? No chance. Adkins? Pochettino has got Southampton playing significantly better with the same players so I didn't see him as anything other than a potential backwards step. Thankfully reading got there first, same with McDermott.

Mark_w Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Also the manager who has never been promoted from the championship.... In four attempts.... So not being promoted from the Championship makes you a League One manager? Winning League One the one season you were down there makes you a League One manager? Saving a club on the cusp of relegation to League One makes you a League One manager? Guiding Chris Weale, Michael Morrison, Wayne Brown, Jack Hobbs, Bruno Berner, Matt Oakley, Richie Wellens, Andy King, Lloyd Dyer, Steve Howard and Matty Fryatt to 5th in the Championship makes you a League One manager? Seriously?

Seriously? Lots of teams who get promoted carry on performing above their potential. If you want to look at it like that then Pearson was an even bigger failure, as teams like Swansea, Norwich and Southampton went on to get promoted again! Fact is he didn't take that team up as his tactics cost us the first leg. Fact is he has never promoted a team from this league! Why the blind faith in this man!!!!
Harry - LCFC Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Pearson lovers - serious question. How many points do we need to drop with the biggest playing budget in the division before he deserves to be sacked? Put a number on it. Last time I counted that was 11 must win games. None won! That's because none of the past 11 games were must win except possibly this one tonight. Very, very obvious. Had we won our "must win" game tonight we'd be in the POs. You've made a ridiculous statement there.
norscot fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 i just dont know something needs to change its pearson team inept tactics cost all all season i thought wood played ok tonight but nugent was no where to be seen in second half till he did what he did again pearson square pegs in round holes i think he needs to decent thing and go one win in 13 if this was start of season he been gone by now i think the owners should have acted 2 or 3 weeks earlier another season promised so much will deliver nothing dispite big playing budget and so called best squad in the league these players lack bottle until that is addressed nothing will change they been away to portugal looking back what waste of time and money that was i dont like sounding negative just got to point this is my club just fed up with our players not having bottle and not menatallly strong enough

Do I actually have to list the amount of clubs that have achieved promotion from League One and either gone straight back down or become mid table also rans or are you going to admit your wrong?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 When we've won 1 in 18 come the end of the season will people be giving the same argument, there's no obvious replacements for NP?
