Walshy5 Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Anyone notice how lucky forest have been lately? Last minute equaliser v brighton straight through the keeper and a 96th min pen v burnley when only 5mins were called. Just saying.
Walshy5 Posted 5 April 2013 Author Posted 5 April 2013 Please merge. Edited my origanal post and went wrong.
David Guiza Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 They have been particularly jammy, but you do earn your own luck in football. I don't know about the Burnley game, but they battered Brighton in the first half in all fairness and Angerken kept them in it, before giving birth to the ball for their equaliser.
ratherbedeadthanred Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 theve always been horrible jammy bastards
Essington blue Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 I'd call it having a never say die attitude!!! Shame we haven't got a bit of it!
Walshy5 Posted 5 April 2013 Author Posted 5 April 2013 I'd call it having a never say die attitude!!! Shame we haven't got a bit of it! having a never say die attitude doesnt mean a ball going through the keeper or the ref adding on fergie time. Its whats known as being jammy bastards!
Fox92 Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 You do earn your own luck, whether 'luck' is actually real or not. What did the great Bill Shankly say? 'With hard work comes our luck' - or something like that.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Make your own luck to an extent that's it. Referees have A big factor
Leicesterpool Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Looks like Forest never give up, now they don't play for a goalless draws they play to win since the arrival of Billy Davies
Dan Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 I've never understood how scoring a last minute goal is lucky, at all. Although the goals they've scored have been quite lucky. Mind you, making their own luck - they've scored as many in their last 2 as we have in our last 7 and they haven't even won any of their last 2.
acooling08 Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Dan, I was about to post the same. How is scoring late on lucky? It's more a demonstration of effort and determination.
MrSpaM Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 In the first 6-7 matches they played with Billy at the helm they had at least 7 players sent off from the opposing teams. Id call that lucky yeh .
Walshy5 Posted 5 April 2013 Author Posted 5 April 2013 Dan, I was about to post the same. How is scoring late on lucky? It's more a demonstration of effort and determination. not saying scoring late on is lucky. Its manner in which they were scored.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 I think they've been lucky all season, they have finished a lot of matches with the opposition with 10 or even 9 men, they seem to get penalties once a month (but arguably that is them making there own luck) and they have a lot of draws when they could and perhaps should have lost. We make loads of chances and never score, but also nobody handles or fouls to give us a peno, and when we do Wood hits the bar (something we did shit loads around October and November.)
Happy Fox Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Just like Port Vale then tonight Thrashed Burton Albion 7-1
rico Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 Blackpool were reduced to 10 men and Sky Sports said it seemed like the ref was going to play as much extra time as it would take for Forest to score a winner
Dylan Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 And the decisions that got them a point against us and cost us 2 back at our place... Them 3 points could prove to be so vital.
RedHux Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 Nothing lucky about today. The sending off was about as stonewall as you're likely to get. Blackpool did the bus parking thing and once they'd scored did some frankly outrageous timewasting (understandable). I never knew professional athletes could walk so slowly For large parts we struggled to break them down but as time went on, our 4 strikers started causing some mayhem something was bound to give.
RedHux Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 Just seen a video of the sending off and it wasn't nearly as convincing as it looked from where I was sat.
RedHux Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 They did. Quite early on. It was their only other shot.

Encouraging for Incey's Blue Army next season.
