Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Just thought of one for the Doctors' radio show - The Strokes - Is This It? Perfect.
Daggers Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Why do people kepe playing this old lady card? It's such shit. If you think somebody's a **** you think it whether they're 27 or 87. You don't get a free pass for being old and ill. ***** get old and ill too. Because she was a poor old lady and had a degenerative disorder and finally died of a really bad disturbance in the blood supply to the brain. And seeing as everyone getting all bent about it has obviously suffered from a brain trauma they feel some sort of kinship.
21st Century Fox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 It wasn't a stroke anyway. I suspect foul play. I just need El Empty to tell me who was behind it and why. It was blatantly 20th Century Fox, sales of The Iron Lady DVD were slumping.

Guest ttfn Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Does it? Does it really? Colour you pretty fvcking stupid, then. Go pay £3,000 a year for it like everyone else. I did. Apparently I wasted my money. Shame you won't tell me why you're right and why it's ok to mock a stroke victim. Really, I genuinely want to know from somebody who is so affronted by this woman who has been out of power for nearly a quarter of a century that they want to celebrate her death? And it's £9,000 a year now smart arse.
Daggers Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I'm sure he knows that already. Welcome back daggers. Hello Jon - you remain the only person on here I would not like to cause offense to over this and so...just for you, I'm sorry for being a cvnt.
Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 It was blatantly 20th Century Fox, sales of The Iron Lady DVD were slumping. They should do a Blu Ray double deal of the Iron Lady and the Iron Man.
z-layrex Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Jesus christ there are some nasty little men knocking around this forum.

Yey, nasty fascist nurse is back!
21st Century Fox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 They should do a Blu Ray double deal of the Iron Lady and the Iron Man. Make that a triple play with The Man In The Iron Mask.
Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Right, thanks for the entertainment all, I'm off to read some more insurance case law. ps this would have been better if it happened April First so there was doubt. Or even Good Friday (is that right?) so there'd be speculation if she'd rise again and then loads of people (usually boring, smiley people) would have to worship her and stuff.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Wow, you really wasted your cash. Good luck finding employment. Thanks. I'll bear that in mind next time I'm out of work. Ok, enjoy your evening. If somebody other than Daggers (perhaps the Doctor, because frankly I'm more bemused by his views than Daggers') would care to explain why they were so pleased she died, please post, I'd be interested to read. It may be simply a generational or a geographical thing. I won't post on this any more. I've made my point, Daggers has had his fun, I'll just get back to him throwing abuse at Moose Breath.
Deucalion Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I did. Margaret Thatcher ruined 100 000s of people's lives to pursue her ideologically led economic policies. She allowed London to become wealthy, but at the expense of jobs and lives and prospects in other parts of the country. She also changed Britain from a place where social democratic fairness was the political norm to one where it was a virtue to be rich and to look down on those less fortunate than yourselves. She also began the process, which the current government are continuing, of overturning employment rights, the right to free healthcare and to a fair and equal education. Am I celebrating her death? Well, not really. Do I feel any sympathy for her in death? No I don't, I wish she would've suffered more as some kind of recompense for the suffering and destroyed prospects which she inflicted on other people. If anyone wants to take this as justification to climb higher on to their high horse and get shriller in their santimonious protests then go ahead !!

Buzzell Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Can I ask what she did that pissed off half the nation? Politics don't interest me one bit but reading this has intrigued me a little.

Was ginger. The end.

wurmer Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 She was what this country needed at the time. Anyone gloating at her death is either lefty sponging scum or weren't even alive when she was PM. Have a good evening!

Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 One last thing - and I'm not sticking around to field questions, because I can understand the bitterness etc, but this passage, an excerpt from something she said, does resonate with me and continues to apply, perhaps even moreso today: I think we have gone through a period when too many children and people have been given to understand "I have a problem, it is the Government's job to cope with it!" or "I have a problem, I will go and get a grant to cope with it!" "I am homeless, the Government must house me!" and so they are casting their problems on society and who is society? There is no such thing! There are individual men and women and there are families and no government can do anything except through people and people look to themselves first. It is our duty to look after ourselves and then also to help look after our neighbour and life is a reciprocal business and people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations. people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations. people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations. people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations. people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations.
