dorsetfox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 am i right in thinking that if we win the next game no matter what bolton or forest do then it guarentees that our last game against forest will be for a play off spot ?
dorsetfox Posted 16 April 2013 Author Posted 16 April 2013 errr hello who you calling a fool at the minute we have 64 points and forest and bolton have 63 with 3 games left so if we win the next game we will have 67 and if both forest and bolton win they will have 66 so even if we lose to watford and forest and bolton both win then we will have 67 and they will have 69 so last game of the season could be for a play off spot SO CHECK YA FACTS OUT FIRST MATE BEFORE GIVING IT THE FOOL

ADK Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Not sure what you mean, if you mean will we still be in contention then YES but Bolton winning would mean we would finish in 7th.

Guest kristianity77 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 OP no it doesnt. But it would mean that we have a chance on the final day. Only way we can be sure of a playoff spot on the final day is getting 7 points from 9. So 2 wins before Forest would likely mean we only have to draw. A win and a draw before Forest would mean we'd need to beat them to be sure of 6th. EDIT Im talking total bollox We need 8 points from 9 to be sure which is impossible to get. So only way we can nail 6th definitely, is to win all 3 games
dorsetfox Posted 16 April 2013 Author Posted 16 April 2013 bolton wont beat borough on saturday i said a month ago it will be us v forest for 6th and its coming true i also said dyer 89th minute goal at forest might get down the bookies when ive sobered up
dorsetfox Posted 16 April 2013 Author Posted 16 April 2013 well if we beat palce then we will also go above them by one point its sooooooooooooooooooooooooo close
ruisliptiger Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 If you win the next match you will get three more points. This is good. Also if others don't win they won't get 3 pts. This is also good. I hope that both of these things happen. That would be very good. Good.
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Regardless of points I'm just keeping fingers crossed that Pearson maintains the high pressing, keep the ball on the floor, attack minded footballing tactics that, for a change, were adopted in the second half last night. If he does this, we have every chance of winning the next two, no problem.

smudger63 Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 Basically if we beat Palace and Watford, F****t or Bolton have to win their last 3 games to have any chance of pushing us out of the play offs, because a draw and 2 wins will only give them 70 points, the same as we would have if we win against Palace and Watford, but our goal difference is so much better than either of theirs that it would keep us above them. So the ideal scenario would be for F****t and Bolton to lose or draw on saturday, and for us to beat Palace, which would effectively mean we would go into the Watford game on Friday night knowing a win will be enough to make the play offs. We don`t normally do ideal scenarios though, so expect F****t and Bolton to win on saturday and us to lose or draw!
EdinburghFox Posted 17 April 2013 Posted 17 April 2013 We don`t normally do ideal scenarios understatement of Tue century!!

Simmo86 Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 If we win the next 2 and both Bolton and Forest don't take 6 points then were 99.9% in. Looking too far ahead though!
yorkie1999 Posted 18 April 2013 Posted 18 April 2013 But if bolton, forest, leicester win and brighton lose, we go forth with the others all on 66 points

Adster Posted 19 April 2013 Posted 19 April 2013 I think we'll have a play off spot guaranteed before the Forest match. When we beat Palace tomorrow, Watford at home will be a sell out. We'll win that game and that'll guarantee a play off spot. Heard it here first.
