SemperEadem Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Anyone know how many games we have officially sold out at the Walkers/KP.
ealingfox Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Anyone know how many games we have officially sold out at the Walkers/KP. Real Madrid and Man City in the Cup are the only two I can think of.
Kitchandro Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 We must have sold out for a few Premiership games, surely?
evs_the_fox Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003%E2%80%9304_Leicester_City_F.C._season#Results A number of 31k + attendances in the Premiership...
Craig Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I thought this was going to be another Cardiff thread.
StanSP Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 http://en.wikipedia....eason#Results A number of 31k + attendances in the Premiership... That's depressing, only winning 3 home games that season and 6 in total. We did beat Man City at COMS though .
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I know Newcastle at home was a record at one point (maybe still is) at 32,148
MJ27 Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Yeh, Scunny was I think. Just reminiscing - can't believe we had a 23 game unbeaten run here! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008%E2%80%9309_Leicester_City_F.C._season
Isle of Wight Fox 86 Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 We had a sell out when we first moved to the Walkers, We played West Ham in the PL, first game of the season as well I think...
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Sure one of the games v Leeds wasn't far from a sell out. Really should be lowering ticket prices for Friday, even if its only by a fiver.
LanguedocFox Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 We had a sell out when we first moved to the Walkers, We played West Ham in the PL, first game of the season as well I think... The first match at the Walkers was Watford in Division 2 (the season of Administration and promotion that got Neil Walnut so excited). I think it was a sell-out match though.
K1FOX Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Derby and Forest championship playoff year I'm sure neither of them were sell outs. Forest was about 29000
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 That's depressing, only winning 3 home games that season and 6 in total. We did beat Man City at COMS though . Man City: Stuhr-Ellegaard, Jihai, Distin, Dunne, Tarnat, Berkovic, Sibierski, McManaman, Barton (Bosvelt 61), Anelka, Wanchope (Fowler 61). Subs not used: Weaver, Sommeil, Macken. Booked: Distin, Bosvelt. Hardly the team they have now. How time changes.
StanSP Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Man City: Stuhr-Ellegaard, Jihai, Distin, Dunne, Tarnat, Berkovic, Sibierski, McManaman, Barton (Bosvelt 61), Anelka, Wanchope (Fowler 61). Subs not used: Weaver, Sommeil, Macken. Booked: Distin, Bosvelt. Hardly the team they have now. How time changes. Oh shit, really? I thought they had the same squad.
Dan Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Won't have one at this ground again until we go up or have a season definer. Any fixture that might sell out is ruined by platinum pricing.

Kitchandro Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Derby and Forest championship playoff year I'm sure neither of them were sell outs. Forest was about 29000 I'm sure Forest was 31K and Derby was about 25K
Guest Bilo Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I'm sure neither of them were sell outs. Forest was about 29000 Forest was a sell-out, I remember the signs at the ticket office. Derby was about 28-29,000. Where have those attendances gone? Won't have one at this ground again until we go up or have a season definer. Any fixture that might sell out is ruined by platinum pricing. Home leg of the play-offs will be pretty close if we get there I'd expect.
teblin Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Sheffield Wednesday the year we went down was a big crowd.
Kitchandro Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Oh yeh it was 29K, I was thinking of the following season when we won 2-0.
Corky Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Forest was a sell-out, I remember the signs at the ticket office. Derby was about 28-29,000. Where have those attendances gone? We had 26k for Swansea, 29k v Derby, 28k for WBA, 27k for Plymouth, 30k for Newcastle, 31k for Forest, 30k for Middlesbrough. Excellent crowds for several games, a world away from this season.

Guest Bilo Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 We had 26k for Swansea, 29k v Derby, 28k for WBA, 27k for Plymouth, 30k for Newcastle, 31k for Forest, 30k for Middlesbrough. Excellent crowds for several games, a world away from this season. Pricing and expectations being exceeded were the main reasons for this in my opinion. We've been expected to storm the league for two seasons according to the press and have failed to do so, and the ticket prices are hideously dear. That's all I can attribute it to. I loved that season though, was a pleasure to be in the stadium for a lot of the games you've mentioned.
