They've got to see a lot. Do you think people who go to football matches see more than most, because they'll get tens of thousands every other week?

We can count out fans who only do home matches as they see the same people each fortnight, barring a few away fans and irregulars. Travelling fans will see far more. Fans who go and watch all different teams will probably see about a million different people just at the football on their travels in a season though. I'll add rail station platform workers. They must see a fair few thousand every day, although many will be regulars.

We have a chap who wanders around the city here, with a fully tattooed face, and it seems i see him every few days, now i only know that because he is unique... im guessing i must see the same people time and time again, but as they are just "normal" i dont even realise.

I was thinking something similar not long ago. When you see someone out and about that you've recently met, a new girlfriend's family member for example. We must also see loads of people that we will meet and become acquainted with at some point in or lives, but just haven't met yet.

Talking of lots of people,when Ive been to Vendee " puy du fou" rates highly for an entertaining day out.Really enjoyed it,very well done indeed.If anyone is in Vendee France it's well worth a day out.(awaits FIF to tell me its the worst day of his life) Ps FIF look at the cheese thread.Need your help yet again!

I once smiled and said "hi" to this girl I used to pass about twice a week at the exact same spot on the path next to the river opposite castle park. We'd made eye contact a few times previously, she was pretty hot but not in an obvious way. It was like she didn't realise she was hot. So one day I smiled and said hi and she smiled and said hi back. It was a really wide, happy smile and in the brief second we held eye contact I could see her pupils were dilated (maybe she was on smack). We both slowed a little as if to hint at further conversation but in the end none of us stopped. A few seconds after passing I looked back, and then half a second later she looked back too, and we exchanged another smile. It was beautiful. But I never saw her again after that. Moral of the story: don't bother with those familiar stranger cvnts, it only ends in tears.
