Guest Bilo Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Hope Grimsby and/or Luton can finally return to the FL next season. Clubs of their calibre shouldn't be in non-league football. I can't see Barnet or Aldershot making an instant return though.
Stuliasz Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Hope Coalville Town can get over their late season disappointment and go one better to make the Evo-Stik Premier next season!

Guest Bilo Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Apparently Edgar Davids is gonna stay on at Barnet? Do you think they'll get back up with him there? They're opening a new stadium next season which could go for or against them. They're fairly financially sound apparently, but their relegation had been coming for a few years and it must be one of the toughest relegations to bounce back from. Big call; because the likes of Wrexham, Kidderminster, Grimsby and Luton will all fancy their chances of a big push.
Fox92 Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Would love Grimsby to get back, also. One of my favourite clubs.
Harry - LCFC Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Luton have gone for a very different approach this season. John Still recruiting all manner of nobodies, may as well try something different, hasn't worked out in previous seasons.
Soar Fox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Hopefully Alfreton will be around the playoff places this year as my friend plays for them.
Finnaldo Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 Hoping to get down to more Hinckley games next season. About 5 minutes walk from my house yet I never seem to get down. They do need my money after all.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 Will definitely head down to York Street in August if my job allows, and as ever, I intend to participate in the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup and Non League Day. Might have a day in London instead of Canvey Island this time around, not that I've anything against the Prospects Stadium.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 Which current (as of next season) non-league grounds have people visited anyway? I'm sure my list will be dwarfed but I've been to Hinckley, Quorn, Macclesfield, Boston, Grantham, Tamworth, Holbeach and Canvey Island.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 Hopefully Alfreton will be around the playoff places this year as my friend plays for them. Your mate isn't Connor Franklin is he?

Harborough Town Wivenhoe Town Barnet Cambridge United Kettering Town (at Rockingham Road) Hereford United Stamford They're opening a new stadium next season which could go for or against them. They've not convinced many that this is just a temporary move. Sadly see them slipping down the pyramid over the next few years. Still, maybe they'll get their derby with Enfield back soon.
Soar Fox Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 Your mate isn't Connor Franklin is he? Yes. Just signed a new 2 year deal.
muzzycomeback Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Afc r&d in the prem of the UCL for the first time!

I think Barnet will be fine. The move stinks though, but thats barnet council for ya!
CloudFox Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Glad Salisbury are back in the Conference National, my grandparents live there, so always look out for their results.
Leicesterpool Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Yes. Just signed a new 2 year deal. Yeah remember him when he was at the boro, great player.

I'm sure my list will be dwarfed but I've been to Hinckley, Quorn, Macclesfield, Boston, Grantham, Tamworth, Holbeach and Canvey Island. Chester, Macclesfield, Southport, Tamworth, Hinckley, Stockport, Runcorn off the top of my head. Macc was definitely the best, their bar/pre game area was right nice. Stockport definitely the grimmest place out the lot.
NewburyFox Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Will be hoping for a Lincoln City return to the football league, will inevitably go to a few Lincoln games as my flatmate is a big fan. We're hoping to get a good away day or two in (hopefully Grimsby although I've still got a season ticket with the foxes so they often clash), but I refuse to go to Luton again, absolute hell hole. Lincoln have had a good pre-season so far, brought in several players and kept hold of most of their stars from last season. Just need Tom Miller, Boyce and Oliver to sign now and they should be good to go. Play-offs will be the aim, manager Gary Simpson did a good job when working as the assistant to the late Gary Alexander a few years back and kept them up last season when it looked unlikely, so he's got the fans backing. Just don't want to see Grimsby go up!
