Guest MattP Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 They label it Ladies Day and all of a sudden it's a sell out is what gets me, not really a race of much interest on the card It's the worst part of racing, catering for everyone except actual racing fans. Low grade racing, beer tents, slappers staggering around, long queues and TOWIE types all thinking they have a tip. Bit like Grand National Day at Aintree, did it once, I won't again.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Finners is a plastic At least in horse racing terms.

A bit like football then.
Guest MattP Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 A bit like football then. Imagine Filbert Way being invaded by 31,000 pissed up women shouting their opinions about it who only ever watch the World Cup whilst asking you what the numbers mean on the back on the back of shirts and forcing you to queue for half an hour for something that usually takes you 30 seconds.
Wymsey Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I hope the nice weather expected will become consistent one. Also, being 21 and having a child who is just over a year old is not right tbh.

Matt Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 It sounds promising, but i'm sorry I won't believe it until I see it, I've heard it all before and it's come to nothing, I must say though this afternoon has been nice so as I said it's looking promising. I just hope to god it lasts longer than the weekend/the week, I want consistant weeks (Well, Months really but we'll start with weeks, when we get weeks we'll look at hoping/praying/wishing for months) worth of Summer not bleeding days.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 It's probably going to pour down, with gales and summer flooding!
Guest MattP Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Only DT could have even tried to make a heatwave miserable.
