_Fatboyslow_ Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Seven subs, Waghorn no idea, I would keep him. Schlupp should be third choice if we don't get a new striker, fourth choice if we do, so will most likely still be on the bench, which is good enough for me. Fair enough, don't you think it's a bit odd Pearson telling Stringer ?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Schlupp will be left back I hope not, still is that an opinion or fact
Darkon84 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 well then your daft, Schlupp's run in the side at the back end of last season sparked the mini revival that us into the play-offs, he's quick, better control and a better finisher then Martyn Waghorn, the odd decent corner from him doesn't change the fact I'm in more dangher from a Waghorn shot in the Kop then there is of him actually scoring a goal Schlupp's first touch is probably the worst I've seen, for a professional footballer. You'd have thought that after all that time at United, he would have come back with better basics and be able to use his weaker foot a little better. That being said, I do like the guy and think this season we should really start to use him more.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Schlupp's first touch is probably the worst I've seen, for a professional footballer. We now have 3 players who can stake a claim to this title and I always felt Scowcroft is the best candidate in a Leicester shirt

Manwell Pablo Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Great.... can't see us loaning anyone just because Nugent is injured, you can't loan a player every time you pick up an injury. We could probably do with losing 2/3 Waghorn Vardy and Futacs and getting someone better in if you ask me and that might or might not be in Pearsons plans. Nasty feeling as someone else has said, Jamie will get the nod vs Borough, if he does hopefully he starts to show he can score at this level.
Guest ttfn Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 I'd like to see Schlupp given a proper run at the start of this season. If we can bring someone else in then great, but really now is the time to be giving him a go.
Burmesefox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Nugget doesnt massively excite me anyway. A decent player at championship level but he no longer has the calibre of a spearhead striker for a team that will automatically be promoted next season. I.E if we are (and that's a big are) to finish first or second we either need to replace Nugent, or Wood needs to bag 20 plus for us next season with Nugget hitting 14.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 HESKEY That reminds me of one of St Martins best quotes re Steve C." It's not his first touch that's the problem, it's the second and third "
Dickov22 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 That reminds me of one of St Martins best quotes re Steve C." It's not his first touch that's the problem, it's the second and third " To be honest at times last season Wood's first touch was awful too. On a par with Jeff!
Johnny Cash Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Delighted. Now it might push us to replace the useless chump!!
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 July 2013 Author Posted 5 July 2013 Delighted. Now it might push us to replace the useless chump!! You are joking right?!
MC Prussian Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Delighted. Now it might push us to replace the useless chump!!Can we get rid of Johnny Cash first?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 so we lose a striker to injury and go on to sell another?1! hjdgcbnusykmgfncuys pearson out
MooseBreath Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Bert's just tweeted that he'll miss the start of the season.. Which is great news because it almost definitely means he'll be fit and ready by the start of the season.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Hope not. Rather start with Waghorn & Wood Waghorn! Don't be silly.

dynamark Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 This is more like it.Speculative speculation by the bucketload.Personally id put Schlupp on the teamsheet somewhere back or front its the future. Nug may be a bit huff and puff now espescialy if he is not perfectly fit.Waggy question mark big time
