TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Calf Injury, on crutches... Edit: Out for start of the season...
Happy Fox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Ian Stringer â€@StringerSport1m Nigel Pearson's told me David Nugent's on crutches as a precaution; has slight calf problem - #lcfc - didn't seem overly concerned
21st Century Fox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Fallen out with Pearson. He didn't like his Dubai tan.
SmithyFox12 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Bert's just tweeted that he'll miss the start of the season..
Jimmy Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Wood & Schlupp for opening day then, depending on any signings
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 July 2013 Author Posted 5 July 2013 I imagine once the injury is gone, he wont be match fit for a while? Unless nige whips out the same needle he used on wood.
nickyboy Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 From look of it, out for start of season so with missing preseason probably looking till sept/oct till match fit, gotta think we need a striker definitely as cover now, or do we start Wood and young Jeff
KFS Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Could be up to 8 weeks.Stringer saying Its only precaution?
Dan Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Fvcking hell our luck with injuries has turned crap in the last year.
Bert Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Stringer saying Its only precaution? Just like Woods' injury that Pearson said wasn't serious but was.....
Rocky Dennis Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Ian Stringer â€@StringerSport1m Nigel Pearson's told me David Nugent's on crutches as a precaution; has slight calf problem - #lcfc - didn't seem overly concerned Where does this "8 weeks out" come from then?
LcFc_Smiv Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Ian Stringer â€@StringerSport1m Nigel Pearson's told me David Nugent's on crutches as a precaution; has slight calf problem - #lcfc - didn't seem overly concerned Who was the poster on here yesterday saying Pearson had banished the BBC??
KFS Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Just like Woods' injury that Pearson said wasn't serious but was.....What would be the planning behind lying? Just to fvck with Stringer?Maybe if other clubs know we need a striker the prices may rise. Strangest pre-season in a while!
Bert Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 What would be the planning behind lying? Just to fvck with Stringer? Maybe if other clubs know we need a striker the prices may rise. Strangest pre-season in a while! That's Pearson all over, but I don't know why.
Fox92 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Last thing we need is our players, especially better and first team players, getting injured.
Soar Fox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Wood & Schlupp for opening day then, depending on any signings Hope not. Rather start with Waghorn & Wood
Jimmy Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Hope not. Rather start with Waghorn & Wood well then your daft, Schlupp's run in the side at the back end of last season sparked the mini revival that us into the play-offs, he's quick, better control and a better finisher then Martyn Waghorn, the odd decent corner from him doesn't change the fact I'm in more dangher from a Waghorn shot in the Kop then there is of him actually scoring a goal
Dickov22 Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Wood and Vardy are the two I think will start if Nugent isn't fit
kingfox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 We have to get a new striker anyway, not because Nugent is injured, but because Beckford will go, and Vardy and Futacs are shit.
LCFC FOX Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 Blyth and Paniyitou for me But on a serious note I reckon it will be Wood and a striker on loan
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 We have to get a new striker anyway, not because Nugent is injured, but because Beckford will go, and Vardy and Futacs are shit. And Waghorn ? Or Young Jeff
kingfox Posted 5 July 2013 Posted 5 July 2013 And Waghorn ? Or Sculhup Seven subs, Waghorn no idea, I would keep him. Schlupp should be third choice if we don't get a new striker, fourth choice if we do, so will most likely still be on the bench, which is good enough for me.
