The Horse's Mouth Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I need to sack whoever scouted Faurlin.
cityfanlee23 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Ince is in the England squad looking pretty good. Zivkovic was ruined by Man City but I've heard he does get good with game time. Connor Hunte doesn't look much tbh, just scouted him. Gomez isn't much on ym mates game either so I assume he has one of those varying PA's but game time and he seems to smash it at inside forward. I'd recommend Doria, Zouma, Balanta, Murillo and Casasola for CB's Had Doria and zouma on other saves, they are animals! Thanks for looking mate, those players all have 5* potential for me so going to try and make them cheap superstars!
Haydos Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Had Doria and zouma on other saves, they are animals! Thanks for looking mate, those players all have 5* potential for me so going to try and make them cheap superstars! This is my first save in a while on any fm but the star ratings seem to be a good guide so far. Bear in mind they are in relation to your club status and other players though. Gomez has been wanting a new deal for a while, I've managed to hold him off for 6 months or so but he's forced my hand which is kind of fair as he's up their with the best in the world at the moment. He's only on £26k a week but he wants a rise up to £110k a week which I can't afford and I wouldn't want to give at this stage anyway. He's worth £29m now but I'll be holding out for at least £35m, hopefully £40m. If someone comes knocking below that I'll just tell him that their offers weren't good enough as that's always seemed a good enough answer. He's got 2 years left so hopefully over the next year I can increase revenue enough to get him signed if I don't get a high enough bid. EDIT: Returning from a short lay off he comes on in the 51st minute and finishes with 2 goals and an assist. Really want to hang on to him
The Doctor Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 So, first season - league cup final (1-0 defeat to newcastle) and just secured the title with 5 games to spare and the board tell me they've no intent to offer me a new contract? Not at all pleased.
Far Post Gerry Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 What annoys me about this game is the inability to dish out a proper bollocking. Schmeichel has been worse than useless - making ridiculous mistakes, costing us games. And all I can say is "you better buck your ideas up". I want to give him the full hairdryer treatment, tell him how shite he's being and how he's a disgrace to the club. It probably won't help but it'd make me feel better.
Ross-Kemp Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Finished 9th after taking 5 points from the last 12 games. I was given £9million to spend, brought in, Knockeart for £5 million, Borek Dockal for £800k, Landreau on a free and Guidetti on loan.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 This game is really weird, just won the treble however Dukla Prague some how were 2nd and looking at their team, it's atrocious. I don't get it
StanSP Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Unreal. Having a quality season in the league. Champions League not so much. Had a shocking group stage campaign with AC Milan, Olympiakos and Club Brugge. After 5 matches: Olympiakos - 8 points AC Milan - 6 points Club Brugge - 6 points Leicester - 5 Last round of matches: Olympiakos vs Leicester AC Milan vs Club Brugge NEED a draw between AC Milan vs Club Brugge. I have to win to finish top and I have beaten Olympiakos already. I don't want to play in the Europa League. I may even not to do that .
Dan Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Painfully inconsistent. There's something not right on this game, the league table is just ridiculous
Dan Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Tempted to start again. I can hardly take the game at all seriously. I swear this update has sparked the game into this ridiculous frenzy where all league tables make no sense and all kinds of unrealistic crap is going on. Cardiff top of the Premier, West Brom 2nd, Barnsley winning away at Arsenal/Liverpool and dominating them in the process, Wigan thumping Man City away, Bastia top of Ligue 1 with the top half seperated by about 5 points. Whilst I'd normally smile at some of these... there's far too many of them and it's completely unrealistic. Not a single top side performs at a level anywhere near what they should do.

I've not played enough of it yet to see all that but the ME seems much less frustrating. Liverpool are in the relegation zone though and Norwich are 3rd. No idea what's happened to Suarez, haven't heard about him in any news and Liverpool have replaced him with Jordan Rhodes Also I want to start a Pentagon save but I don't want to quit my Leicester one. There's not enough time for everything!

There's not enough time for everything! To me they used to have the balance spot on - where something ridiculous would happen every now and then and it'd raise a smile but now the most ridiculous things with absolutely no logic are happening every season and I don't know if it's me being really fussy, but it's taking the fun out a bit IMO. Cardiff have signed four players in two years, with only only one of those four ever making their side (Toivonen), yet they're top of the Premier League? Barnsley, one of the worst sides in the Championship, won the league at a canter, have gone up and won at Arsenal, Liverpool & Southampton, have Chris O'Grady the top scorer in the Premier League and look an absolute certainty to stay up with ease. West Brom re-signed Lukaku on loan (wouldn't ever happen) and are on course to finish in Europe. Meanwhile, Liverpool & Everton hit Christmas only a few points clear of relegation, Man Utd 8th (in fairness that's actually happening in real life), Arsenal 6th, Man City 5th etc... In France, Lorient won the league last season with St Etienne second. I thought it was class at the time but I'm slowly thinking it wasn't at all a co-incidence considering Bastia are (or were, in fairness) top of the league, a team predicted to finish 16th who again, have signed minimal players to improve. PSG seem destined to finish outside the top 5 no matter who they get in (although still have no trouble finishing us off). I get the feeling they've tweaked a lot of things with this update but as a result they've ended up completely defeating the realism element of the game and it really is poor that when you buy a game early, you're buying an unfinished game. I do wonder if it's just a huge co-incidence but I think it's happening a few too many times. Some of the things that have happened just wouldn't ever happen no matter what. I don't know if it's just me...
StanSP Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Well I beat Olympiakos away, AC Milan beat Brugge. Olympiakos went from top to 3rd. Celebrated the goals like I'd scored against Forest

Beliall Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 dan, I cant believe you pay that much attention to the other clubs wierd stuff happens but I try not to take it too seriously. meanwhile, happy as I am to have the chance to manage lcfc in a pentagon save, it brought a tear to my eye having to ruthlessly destroy the team that we cant afford. I hate roy keane and cannot believe he wasnt sacked sooner. not one plauer is a massive improvement on my jomo squad players, but they get paid stupid money. sold nearly everyone and cut 70k off the wages. now im 10k under and trying to bring over a young angolan from jomo cosmos. also brought in a 36 year old gary o neill, hes old and slow bit has a great work ethic and leadership stat, might help my team of kids succeed. and loaned In a young winger from man city thanks to the affiliation in place. going to be a long season. the owner wants at least the playoffs
Dan Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Don't get me wrong right I love the odd shock but it makes me think that there's no real achievement if things go right and no real embarrassment if it goes wrong because it almost makes me think it's pot luck. That sounds a bit nuts. I'll have to keep an eye on it. You been sessioning it? The patch only came out like 3 days ago Done half a season and one day of that was spent at QPR and then I've been out all day today. If I'm at home there's a good chance I'm on FM
Beliall Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 not having a great season so far, made some errrors in staff appointments i think, paid too much attention to the coaching stat and forgot the ability to judge players. lastt 2 games in a row ive conceded 3 in the first half. oh, and i signed andy carroll on a free....he played 5 mins and is now injured for a month

Really want to hang on to him Massive tip if you start a save and get promoted, or even for mid table teams... Offer wages, And Offer "Relegation release clause £0" so if you get relegated they can leave for £0 Just don't get relegated! 1st season in the prem with leicester and i've signed Papaapadopadopdopuolis from shalke, He wanted 75k PW.. I was tipped to be relegated, offered the £0 relegation release and he accepted 40,000.... I went onto the editor before I started the save and wiped the debts to see what the club would give me... No other edits, They gave me another 5m to spend and 60k wages in the championship (Got rid of ALL the top earners to make around 150k available) Got us promoted... Board gave me £50m to spend, 1.5m wage budget PW, And are expected to make a profit of £107m this season.. The board were "Working hard to gain extra revenue" and came back with a sponsorship deal worth £39m Cannot quite believe what we have achieved with no debts and big profits! It's almost too easy, Spent £40m so far and now have 6 players with 5* potential... Signed Andre schurrle for £9.5m and hes on 97k PW, He's my highest earner by 40k
cityfanlee23 Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Painfully inconsistent. There's something not right on this game, the league table is just ridiculous + the fact if you offer conrad logan, Spurs, chelsea and liverpool all come in???
Beliall Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 everyone want a sub keeper that wont complain!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Apparently signing Samuel Eto'o doesn't count as a high profile signing
Dan Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 + the fact if you offer conrad logan, Spurs, chelsea and liverpool all come in??? That's another one They've always been a bit weird with top clubs signing 'keepers on this, mind.
cityfanlee23 Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 That's another one They've always been a bit weird with top clubs signing 'keepers on this, mind. Oh I forgot to mention aswell, I spent 6 months buttering up lewandowski, and asked the board to sign on a bosman, He accepted a contract but went to bayern munich As I said before I started the save I wiped the 140m debt to see what the owners would do, they were pumping money in left right and center!! they gave me £50m to spend in the prem
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Gonna try and unite the Dos Santos brothers at the Prague.
