Dan Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 I really don't see the point of going to Lyon or Lille because I do think I could get Nantes to their level (I did on 13 IMO). Nantes are quite a good one. Good youth system, relatively decent budgets each season (which I've not made the most of IMO), big ground with potential, interesting rivalry etc... there's a lot going for them on FM I think, ignore how average I've been there Don't sell Umtiti. What is the point of selling one of the best defenders on the game? You'll get a backing at Lyon in the next season or two. I think even I'd have no trouble winning it with Monaco. That's an absolutely absurd budget and PSG do have a tendency to under-achieve even if they win the league. By that I mean they should be hitting 100 points with the squads they bring together but they're often cocking up games they shouldn't (except for playing Nantes). Quite looking forward to getting this season going. I think it's comfortably my best side yet and I've still got money to spend if it goes wrong.

Obviously keep us informed, I love the idea of taking a small team and making them huge! Problem is I get bored quickly, so went with celtic for a different challenge

Drew with Watford at home and beat them 1-3 at Vicarage Road. and then beat Burnley 1-0 in the final with Nugent scoring after replacing Kevin Phillips who I had already brought on as a sub! Tried to keep things fairly familiar by only signing Kevin Phillips and selling Waghorn, St Ledger & Danns. The side that was voted my strongest XI at the end of the season was .... Schmichael, De Laet, Morgan,Moore,Bakayogo, Knockaert, Hammond,King,Schlupp, Wood,Vardy. In a 442. In the Premier League ive been given 15 million and spent all of it on Sebastian Coates (loan), Javi Garcia (loan), Simone Pepe from Juventus (loan) Tom Huddlestone,(5mil), Gareth Barry (free), Simao (free), Ricardo Quaresma, Craig Bellamy (free). I tried to keep things fairly familiar and keep faith with the players who got me up but i couldn't help but spend. My team on the opening day of the prem was ... Schmichael, De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Bakayogo, Knockaert, Huddlestone, Garcia, Simao, Vardy, Wood. Bench: Logan, Coates, Konch, Barry, Quaresma, Nugent, Bellamy Not the greatest side but some experience added to the young side. Wood & Vardy both got 20+ in the championship so keeping faith with them. Started by loosing 3-1 at home to Chelsea, drew 4-4 with Everton, drew 1-1 with Newcastle, lost 3-1 to Man Utd, lost 1-0 to Cardiff, drew 0-0 with Villa & beat QPR 1-0. Sitting 15th after tough start.

Took him on loan from them when they went down but pissed all my money on Dob so never got round to making it permanent. Surprise surprise Stade Rennais are straight in there. Where do you play him? He used to do my head in when I played him left mid. Moved him to the right, played him as an old-fashioned winger and he was unreal.

If I load more than one league the estimated speed is half a star to be honest mate, It does not make that much difference the stars, My older slower laptop used to get 4 stars.. my current one is 6x faster than my old laptop and it gets 2 stars, yet its faster! what I will suggest though If you want it to run a bit faster... Go to the settings etc, drop all of the video graphics etc etc, Uncheck the boxes that do not matter I.e Shadows etc... Download "Gamebooster" What it does, is closes all of the programs your computer runs, that is not needed whilst you are in game, (It will keep web pages open etc) but the background programs in task manager that your laptop does not specifically need.. This speeds your game up.. If all else fails download "Cheat engine" It's used for hacking on computer games like COD, But there is a "Speed hack" which can make the game faster.. I used it when I done the pentagon challenge, made the cheat hack x6 speed, So the simming of the game was lightning (If you watch your matches, just Alt+tab to turn it off or your matches will be quick too) But going through menus etc speeds up nicely

My squad looks incredible for the formation I play, I don't need to sign anybody which is a pain
cityfanlee23 Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 good tip thanks No worries mate, I found it when going through the YouTube "how to make fm14 run faster" It works well go on YouTube to see how to use it.. But it will have a fps number in the corner... And the faster you make the game run, the lower the number... You need that number to be at a consisted 10-20 for it to be running at full speed for your computer power... E.g You can out the game speed up by 20x but the game will be trying to go so fast your laptop will lag which is counter productive... For my laptop x6 is perfect for simming seasons when waiting for a job or something.. But if I want to play the game just a bit faster, I make it x2 or x3 Also if you want to keep it on during games, and you like watching the matches, just put the in game highlights speed to slow to even it out fast speed menus but normal speed matches

Beliall Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 i remembered i hate witbank spurs. i think they were the first ever club i tried the pentagon in, could never get them going. so, i loaded up as many leagues as i could until my laptop screamed "mercy" and started a proper job hunt. while also adding kits and stuff out of sheer boredom. turning down jobs in sweden and africa, getting failed interviews in england becasue im refusing to promise a certain style of football, but then out of the blue, i recieved an interview at top of the league Berwick. current wage bill is 1.5k , decent facilties etc, whats the opinion on here? ive saved the game will decide tomorrow.

Beliall Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 not sure what you mean. what I do is remove leagues when I get a job. then add them when I want to start looking again. usually a season early as you have to wait for them to become active.

I got mine from there so can vouch for it if you ever decided to get a new one

Your game will run slower than if you only had 2, so if you have loads of old saves that realistically you are not going to use... Delete them and it helps!

First game, Guingamp at home - totally outplayed for the entire game, lost 1-2, had a red card, had to make 5 changes pre-match because of injuries/international call ups. One game in and I feel like resigning. Absolute shit.

I can confirm that. had a ten game rolling auto save going on. deleted them and set it lower.
