Agree about Kevin Phillips, should have signed him years ago - Has he signed a new contract with Palace yet? I know it'd be very unlikely but worth a go at swaying him - Yes he's abit old now but would still do a job I don't care what anyone says.

Probably. I think Wednesday wanted him, but Preston are obviously in the North West as you said.
